Ocean block condo with linens included!

Great location

While signing in for our stay, the manager commented this building was built in 1952, and the condo above the office, where we stayed, was in a time warp since 1952. The bathroom was exceptionally small, the sink was the size of a kitchen prep sink, with NO counter, toilet next to sink, the shower had not been updated since the 50's, and cleaning was not a priority, the build up of dirt, soap etc over the years was evident on the shower base and the old shower door and the dirt and dust on the cleaning items under the sink was very disturbing to see every day. The master bedroom mattress was awful and uncomfortable, there was no room for any storage of clothing, the bedroom with the bunk bed, had the most comfortable mattress, but no storage, just room for an open suitcase. The doors for the bedroom and bathroom doors were bifold doors. The kitchen had working appliances, the counters had conveniently placed ant traps throughout the area, but the ants did not fall prey to these traps. The cobwebs over the refrigerator were accentuated with the dust and dirt for clearer visibility. The dirt and dust behind the couch was three inches deep. The windows and the curtains and the blinds have not been cleaned in a very long time. If I used the hair dryer it blew a fuse. There are three air conditioners in the condo, the master bedroom a/c was not working, and within a day, it was replaced -good- The main TV controls/remotes need replacing and upgrades.

Location was great, close to the beach and close to the boardwalk. However, the place itself was very very small. Too much clutter, the oven wasn’t useable, and the main bed was super uncomfortable for 2 people to sleep on. Updated mattress would be great and perhaps no more than 3 adults would fit in the space. Overall the place was just too small for us. The property manager was kind and pleasant.

This little condo is perfect for one family or 2 couples. You can’t beat the location, this unit it’s not exactly beach front but from the balcony you can see the beach. It was clean and cozy, tastefully decorated and we had everything we needed.

Everything was wonderful except the beds! I think they’re just a little old. Full-size bed was very springy and a smidge uncomfortable. Full bed with bunk bed as fine but upper twin was sinking in the middle. Other than that, the location was amazing, super close to the beach. Parking was great too! We genuinely enjoyed our stay and the Cottage by the Sea was super cute!
