Sea Gypsy No. 119 "Tidey Whitey" is one of the few remaining units that bring back that nostalgia of your childhood when you visited the Sea Gypsy. The owners have made very few changes, so it's a very well-kept time capsule of the way the old "Sea Gypsy Motel" use to be. The unit features two queen beds, two full bathrooms, and a fully stocked kitchenette (minus an oven; includes stove-top burners only).
Best of all, enjoy direct access to our oceanside patio from this ground-floor condo. The beach is merely steps from your back door. Walk south and wade in the ankle-deep waters of the famous D River. Walk 15 minutes north on the beach to an area with natural tide pools, where you can find starfish, hermit crabs and plenty of other surprises.
If you don’t feel like getting your feet sandy, you can always relax in our indoor saltwater pool and dry sauna. We have gas grills on site for the barbecue master in your group.
When we decided to stay at this Vrbo rental we expected more to it. The pictures showed the place looking clean but when we got there we noticed a stench and saw how unclean the area was. We were not happy it was not what we expected. The bed Stink, the people upstairs where up like at 5 running around and you could here.
We had a great time staying here the room was in a perfect location staff was very nice and had an overall great time!
We enjoyed a night here watching the waves and people out on the beach! Right next door to excellent food was a bonus.
It was spotless. Nice organized, with just a little noise on the second floor. But very well recommended.
This room was a very nice great views. The staff was amazing they were very polite and helpful. The only maintenance thing we saw was both exterior doors need new weather stripping you can see day light from both doors We are defiantly going to come back. Thanks for a great stay.
We liked having a bed in the living room, rather than a hide-a-bed. We like being on the ground floor--and it has a good mattress. The coffee pot is horrid--it lets grounds into the pot--I don't think it is the correct one. Please consider replacing it with a Black and Decker! The decor is bleak, colors not compatible and placement is awkward. :) The toilets are too low for tall, old people. A grab bar would be nice in the back bedroom bathroom. We are used to have a few tea bags to choose from in the evening. Not enough coffee was supplied and the office opens too late for theirs. We enjoyed out stay mostly, disappointed in so much fog, but loved going to the Farmer's Market on Sunday when we left. The hidden garden another visitor told us about was delightful! And, we were most grateful to be able to get into any place, after finding out that our reservation had been lost, with only 2 days till we planned to leave home and get there. Do not like or agree with the Gov's mask mandate!
Locate as great so was the pool the room however was terrible. Carpet old and stained. Sliding door screen torn and would not close. Bedroom window screen in need of repair. Time for owners to update Staff was excellent 5 stars for them. Maids did a good job just hard to clean an old stained carpet and dingy room
This was a great experience. I loved being able to open my glass door and be steps from the beach. I spent a lot of time around beach campfires with my friends. The condo was very clean, which is something that's important to me when I vacation. I have no complaints. The name of the unit (Tidey Whitey) is hilarious and it was cool to see all the white furniture that matched the theme.
Everything was just as shown. The room was great. Clean and everything we needed. Nice ocean front view. Only thing that could be better would have been pool time. But due to Covid that was limited so we never got to go. But that is not.anything negative on the room.
