We stayed at Camelot 409 for a long weekend with family from the north and the south US. We were looking for a kid friendly place and the unit met all the criteria. Clean, easily accessible, super close to all the Myrtle Beach attractions. The unit was stocked efficiently with all the necessities and the hosts were quick to respond to my pre arrival questions and also check in digitally during our stay.
Property just as described. Worked great for our needs. Overall Complex could use some upgrades but this property was in good shape. Thank You
Do not be deceived by newly remodeled! There was nothing new in this condo except for maybe a coat of paint. The place was filthy! After being there for a little while our first evening, I looked at the bottom of my feet and they were black! The beds were about the only thing clean, but the mattresses were horrible! The furniture was old and worn down. The best thing about this condo was the balcony! The view was amazing!! Don't even take a second look at this place! With all the places to stay in Myrtle Beach, you can definitely find something nicer than this!!!
Should not be advertising Wifi since you have to tap into your neighbors and even after that it still did not work properly and certainly not quickly. Beds are very noisy (getting in and getting out) and king bed is not comfortable and slants towards the middle of the mattress. Parking was secure and very available, but we were in the off-season. Was very quiet and felt safe in the unit.
Not updated as advertised.Very poor maintenance, very poorly cleaned. Drains smell bad and drain poorly, some kitchen plugs not working, , wifi unreliable- had to connect to other units. One TV not working. Kitchen supplies not adequate. Master bedroom door falling off hinges. Poor water pressure in 2nd. bathroom shower. Washing machine leaks and stops partway through cycle. Cupboard under kitchen sink is filthy. All in all a very unpleasant experience that left us feeling ripped off. We have been visiting Myrtle Beach for over 50 years staying at many different hotels and condos and this is by far the worst experience we have had.
Our vacation didn't start off on the right foot because they were still cleaning our room when we arrived an hour after check in. Keep in mind, as you read, that we rented at the end of August so the condo has been used all summer. As we made our way into the condo and kids started putting clothes into the drawers there were empty beer cans in the drawers. So we started to look around the condo to check and make sure things were in place. We noticed quite a few things broken and/or faulty such as loose faucets, broken towel racks, no shelves on the doors of the refrigerator, dirty sweat-stained pillows(we went out and bought our own for everyone) etc. We contacted the owner and they sent out maintenance the next day to fix shower heads, sink faucets and bring a new toaster as the other one was broken. There were only 1 fork in a condo that holds 8. The maintenance man(who was great) did bring 3 more forks with him. The communication with the realtor was pretty good but I got the sense they may have been a little annoyed with my many texts stating the issues that we had while we were there. Although they did say thank you when I updated each issue. Again, as I stated earlier we were there one of the last weeks of the summer and I understand that it was used all summer, I just think the upkeep on a place should be checked after each rental week to be sure all is up to par, especially for the money that is spent. The realtor did reimburse us for the first night's stay, which was appreciated but it would have been nice to also be reimbursed for the 6 pillows that were bought as well. Now, as for the stay. It is a great location and really close to most attractions. It's a 10 minute ride to the ballfield as well. The view from the balcony(narrow) was beautiful and you could feel the breeze which was wonderful. Much better at night hearing the ocean after hours because the pool kiddie pool fountain was loud. Easy access to the beach which was awesome. Music at times from condo or next door condo was a bit loud at times but we were out most of the time. Overall, there were a few issues, the realtor, took care of a few of them but not all. They did reimburse part, not as much as I would have thought, especially since I have worked in hospitality before. When we vacation there next year we will look elsewhere, more of a family friendly place with more reviews(this had zero reviews) and VRBO highly recommended.
This is excellent beach front property. Unit was clean, but the king size bed mattress needs to be replaced. It is lop sided with a huge dip in it. We had to sleep in one of the queen beds in the other room.
We enjoyed our stay! The condo was spacious with a good number and size of beds. Beautiful ocean views and waking distance to restaurants. Nice updated bathroom in main room. Working washer and dryer. There was a convenient parking deck with quick elevators. In addition to easy access to beach, it was nice having several indoor and outdoor pools. There was even a DJ and Tiki bar at the pools. It would’ve been nice to have a working Wi-Fi signal and there were some cosmetic issues (e.g. door not on hinge, water dripping from vents). Could’ve been a little cleaner. Sand was on floor in bedroom upon our arrival. Overall our family had a great experience. Our host and his team communicated well and were trustworthy. My daughter left an item and it was returned to us intact. We look forward to visiting again.
The room was nice, but there was definitely a few things that made the trip less than perfect, the king size bed has a dip in, feels like there are springs broken, we rolled to the middle of the bed and woke up with a lot of aches and pains from sleeping on that bed, we had issues with one of the showers, we cooked and realized there was only one fork so we had to run out and buy plasticware before we could eat, so if you plan on cooking be prepared with silverware, the washing machine sounds like a small plane taking off when it is running, so overall we had a good trip but the renovated room could have definitely been better
Not only did the property surpass our expectations. The property manager was there to help even after we left. When my son left some belongings. 5 stars all the way!!
