Newly Renovated Partial Beach View 2 bed, 2 bath at Sanibel Moorings #1141

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We would stay at the Moorings again(never on a 1st floor) but not in rm 1141 due to its lack of care and cleanliness. This condo owner should come check keep up with their property. Carpet stains throughout: large obvious vomit stains next to master bed,spotty VERY stained drapes especially living room, all room carpets pretty much had noticeable stains throughout, sofas too. Rusty large utensils/Knives, not safe to use, molded (smelly)rusty dishwasher. Stained drapery and broken dirty pulls. Hallway BTHRM ceiling flaking, peeling paint-and drippy faucets Both bedrooms have such old, used ( I'm betting original outlets so old they cant hold plugs anymore, which is dangerous.Please clean and update this room so other guests don't have to stay how we stayed with so many issues. As more issues revealed themselves we made a list and gave to office and left a day early BECAUSE our upstairs folks would have robbed us of a good sleep again. Be aware that everything your upstairs neighbors do you will hear.This kept my kids and I up until 2 which affected our day big time.Every step they take, everytime they sit on furniture, every drawer they use, it was non-stop. Also multiple days we could find 1 beach chair, umbrella or beach spot nearby, so we had to adjust how we went to the beach. Bummer people hoard the chairs like the rules say not to. Other paying guests miss out. This is written in multiple places and told to guests directly upon check in, but I think me and my family were the only ones who followed the property rules and are courteous about these things.Moorings ground were beautiful and beach as ,I let the office know these things and I got a nice apology from one person there, but nobody else has contacted me or seems to care about our unique experience. Disappointed in management for not caring to call. For thousands of dollars, we expected a different outcome from all this.

The condo was very spacious & updated. Close beach access from the condo. Just wished it wasn’t so dark in the condo. I think it was the way the place is facing & is downstairs so not much sunlight coming in. The management was very helpful. They called a couple days in advance & even helped with an early check in. We got texts from them throughout our stay to check how the stay was. I would definitely stay there again!

The plant life and natural setting was exactly what we were looking for. Accommodations felt private and included all the amenities we needed. Would have preferred for the pool to be available a bit later into the evening, but that would not prevent us from choosing this small slice of paradise again.

The screen door on the side closest to the walk out to the beach would not open as the latch has been installed wrong. Overall we liked the condo and would stay there again.

We have been coming to Sanibel throughout the years. This time we spent two weeks and really felt relaxed and refreshed.It is our “Happy Place”.

We visited off-season. Check-in was quick, and parking is close to the unit. Property manager was very communicative and helpful. Super clean, comfortable 2-bedroom condo was perfect for us and our two young kids. Kitchen had plenty of tools and dishes, but we did need to buy all food staples, like salt, oil, etc. (not a complaint, just good to know!). The pool is less than a minute away, and the beach about 2 minutes - with umbrellas and chairs available to use. Super clean beach with gentle waves and shallow enough for little kids to play safely in. There was a fee to use beach towels, and the kayaks weren’t available, a slight disappointment. The property did get louder on the weekend, but not too intrusive. Overall though, the stay was fantastic - relaxing, comfortable, convenient.

We stayed at Sanibel Moorings (Unit #1141) from July 13 to 17, 2021. We have stayed at Sanibel moorings a few times in the past and really like the location of the facility. This particular unit is in a building of four that is closest to the beach of the other buildings. We loved being that close. The main issue with this unit for us is that it is dated in all rooms except the Master Bathroom (looks recently updated). There is paint peeling, stains on furniture and carpet, curtains do not close all the way, etc. Not major issues, but just our observations. We did have a few items that we wanted addressed and the customer service from the facility was excellent. They were great at addressing issues and following up. We would go back to the facility, but not 100% sure we would choose this unit (we would for the location close to the beach!).

The room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Proximity to the beach was excellent.
