While the location is fantastic. Our experience with vacasa was not. Aside from the musty, smoky, cover-up smell. It took the management company 4 days to respond to our request for a pillow. There were only three pillows to sleep on in the unit said it's slept 4. The humidifier didn't work. The pillow they brought after four days of requests, was absolutely disgusting. Completely yellow with stains. I have photos to prove everything. We were brought a Vicks vapor steamer to replace the humidifier. It was not worth the box it came in. There was never an attempt to correct the smell. We had asked for an air purifier and never received one. My children slept at our friends condo in the same building, as to not be bothered by the smell. The location made up for a lot of the issues as we did not need to stay in the unit but to sleep, because we had friends in another unit in the building. I would not recommend this place for families, or anyone sensitive to smells.

If you want true ski in ski out this is the condo you want. They have wonderful ski lockers that are on the same floor of the condo. The room keys work on all the locks (entrance doors, lockers, condo) so only one key is needed. The hot tub was outsideish (covered)with a great view of the slopes but accessible from inside.

We will not rent another Vacasa property. I use VRBO on most all of my yearly ski trips. We were locked out and did not receive keys until 2 pm the following day when we were told that they would be in our lock box firs thing in the am. Then to make matters worse, we only received a $120 credit. That is just unacceptable, especially since its over $500 a nightl Would love to hear your feed back since I could not leave a public review on Vacasa. How funny is that ????

overall the home was great and very comfortable. We enjoyed the ski in/out experience. Only downsides of the home itself were: 1: privacy from windows (making it hard to open shades) 2: dirty hot tub amenity 3:The main problem we had with the entire trip was with the lack of accommodation for checkout. We had a much later flight than 10am (as are most regional flights so that you can ski on departure day) We were not allowed to leave luggage anywhere on premises , not a building storage locker or even the ski locker outside that would not have impacted Vacasa’s 6 HR cleaning window (10am-4pm), yes 6hr! It’s really pretty tough when paying over $550/night for 10 days to be told by an anonymous vacasa person at a 1800# that there are not solutions and leaving anything in the ski locker “infringes on their policy” that was just rude. First of all I did not book through Vacasa , it was a vrbo individual at the time but Vacasa took over the listing and changed the check in / checkout hours after our booking. Tip for future tenants: make sure you figure this out with a rental car or I guess you have to book an extra day … how did we solve it ? We carried our luggage by hand down to the base at 8am and were lucky to know someone with a car at the mountain that we left our luggage in for the day .. it seems like a common problem that Vacasa should help accommodate on upper scale accommodation in particular. So in conclusion ,we had a great trip , love Steamboat, we like the home and would stay there again but I have a bit of bitter taste in my mouth with my first Vacasa experience. Sincerely M

    1. Entrance to the building from parking lot has 3 metal steps. First step was slanted away from building and the top step was narrow and definitely not to code. I believe this is an accident waiting to happen. I questioned several other other guests entering and leaving the building and all felt it was just a matter of time before someone would injured themselves. 2. There was a constant creaking from the apartment above ours when the guests were walking around. 3. Half way through our stay the fireplace ceased working. I determined it was the batteries in the remote control. Temperatures outside during our stay were around 0 degress and hence the fireplace was helpful. I reported the issue but no attempt was made to correct the issue. Possibly a simple solution would be to leave some fresh batteries in the unit.

Let’s start with the good, because there’s a lot. The units location is excellent. True ski in, ski out. I was even able to watch the lower sectio of the race course from inside. It’s been updated recently and a very good looking unit. At first the bedding appeared to be cheap but it was unbelievably breathable and comfortable (and I normally wake up drenched in sweat). They also have a ski locker in a heated hallway, which was a pleasant surprise. Now for the reasons I didn’t give it 5 stars. There weren’t any tissue boxes and the only spices they had were salt and pepper. They also don’t have a regular bathroom fan/vent, which is a big pet peeve of mine, especially since the door from the bedroom is a sliding barn door and not a regular door that fully closes. They had cheap shampoo and conditioner containers that are only meant for one night. You also have to decide whether you want the tiny bar of soap in the shower or for the sink…I had emailed Vacasa a week before our reservation asking about this and they responded a day before our arrival with, “Thanks for allowing Vacasa to assist in your travel. I hope your stay was memorable. Regards”. Thanks Vacasa. Not only did you completely ignore my question, you also gave me a panic attack thinking that you screwed up my reservation or that I booked the wrong dates… The biggest complaint, that most of you will probably care about is that the unit is the first one in that wing and everyone can see into your bedroom and main area is you want to keep the curtains open so that you can get some fresh air or see the beautiful views that the unit has to offer. Worse though is that everyone staying on the floors above your walls directly above you (usually with ski boots on early in the morning) and it is pretty loud. All that said, I wouldn’t be opposed to staying there again because the location is awesome and reasonably priced. FYI, if you find the unit on VRBO or Airbnb, check Vacasa because it’s likely a Vacasa listing that you can book with Vacasa directly and avoid some of the service fees. Hope this helps.

Location was very convenient to the slopes. Unit was clean and updated. However, the building access was truly a pain - getting your stuff in and out of the unit was inconvenient and involved stairs and opening numerous locked doors, as did getting your skis or board out to the ski run access and back. The bedroom of the unit backs to the ski lockers on that floor, and the balcony overlooks the main point of exit from the building to the slopes, so if you want to sleep in, you're out of luck because the sound insulation is poor.

This is a great condo! Amazing ski in ski out. It was the perfect size for my husband, daughter and I. Everything was immaculate and clean. The shuttle to the base is very prompt. Our only complaint is that is stops running around 5:00. It would have been nice to have the option to take the shuttle to the base in the evening for dinner because the condo is not really walking distance to the base. We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed the condo. Ski in ski out. Neighbors below banging on ceiling at 4:00 in the afternoon because our kids were playing (not being excessively loud).
