In the winter, ski access is a hop across the street! Take the Bear Back Poma lift which will give you a direct shot to Big Sky Resort's Mountain Village. Big Sky Resort has runs for every skill level, whether you're sticking to the Magic Carpet or tearing up Black Diamond Trails from the Tram. When you're ready for lunch, ski over to Shedhorn Grill from the Shedhorn Lift for a Montana Wagyu burger right off their outdoor grill.

In the summer, book a Yellowstone excursion with Backcountry Safaris. They offer guided 10 to 12 hour tours of either the Upper or Lower Yellowstone Loop and a shuttle from Big Sky. At the end of the day, enjoy an elk tenderloin at the Cabin Bar and Grill.

This home does not have air conditioning.

Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic Montana A/C: open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.

Transportation to Big Sky From Bozeman Airport:
In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation. They are located minutes away from the Bozeman Airport and provide 4-wheel drive vehicles with dedicated snow tires in the winter and all-season tires in the summer!
