We recently stayed at this VRBO property and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the house was clean and matched the listing description. However, we encountered several issues that affected our stay. Firstly, the instructions provided for accessing the house were unclear, which made our arrival more stressful than necessary. More concerning was the lack of functional locks on the doors, including the main entrance and individual rooms. This absence of basic security and privacy was quite unsettling. The most disappointing aspect was the inflexibility regarding checkout time. We had a late check-in at 11 pm, and on the day of departure, our 3-year-old son fell ill, causing a 30-minute delay. Despite this unforeseen circumstance, the host showed no understanding or empathy and imposed an additional $30 charge. This felt particularly harsh and unfair, considering the situation. Overall, while the cleanliness and accuracy of the listing were commendable, the issues with security and the host’s lack of flexibility significantly impacted our experience. Future guests should be aware of these potential challenges.
We were just looking for a getaway weekend from the kids even though we'll live outside San Antonio. This place was perfect for walking around South Town/King Williams district. Quiet road but only a quick Uber to downtown hotspots. Highly recommend and would stay again!
What you would expect with an older home. Clean, quiet neighbor, close to Riverwalk attractions. Would stay again.
Very impressed with the stay. The house was prepared nicely and stocked better than others I have seen! Loved the decor throughout the home! Communication was very impressive.
So much character, spacious and super clean. Loved how equipped it was with condiments, ice trays filled and a whole bowl of ice in the freezer for our smoothies…so thoughtful. Well air conditioned and juts felt like home!! We loved it and would stay there again if I ever visited San Antonio again!! Thank you for your hospitality!! Ps- love the Yellow features ?
The apartment was very clean, well decorated and had well thought out amenities for the kitchen, plenty of bath towels.
Nice historic home, near the river walk. Front door lock could work better. All in all nice place to stay.
It is always nice to walk into a clean and welcoming vrbo! Easy parking, grocery around the corner and an easy drive/walk (when it is cooler) to destinations around San Antonio. Some comfy outdoor furniture would put it over the top but it would have to be less than 100* to truly enjoy the porch. Thank you for a great stay:)
We loved this place! Very nice! The owner is quick to respond to any questions. Great location and at a great rate
This place was lovely, and the host could not be more attentive or communicative. We had a terrific stay, and this place was perfectly situated close to the King William historical district so loved touring that. Highly recommend and would stay there again!
It was tight.
Easy location to Uber to river walk.
Clean, comfortable, great location
Very good location, easy access to river walk, historical neighborhood homes restaurants within walking distance, grocery. Store nearby. Easy road access onto freeways. Highly recommend.
We stayed four nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The property was great and super convenient to everything San Antonio. The only things we wished the property had were a lamp or two in the living area and a couple more chairs on the outside porch so we could all sit. We had a wonderful stay!
Very thoughtfully appointed and the owner leaves some sundry items you may have forgotten. My only suggestion would be to add a coffee table in the living room :) We’ll definitely return next time.
Location was good and close to a quiet park of Riverwalk. Big porch for outside sitting but only 2 chairs and there were 4 of us.
Our family of 5 was very comfortable during our stay. Location can’t be beat and the neighborhood was very quiet and safe. We appreciated the attention to detail with decor but also with a toddler, loved the lack of knick knacks at their level. Owner was wonderful with communication. It was our first VRBO experience and we would recommend this property AND would return in the future.
Looks historic, feels like home. Soothing pleasant decor. Two bedrooms and two baths are just right for a small group. Location close to River Walk couldn’t be better.
Super cute house, great location.
This was a charming apartment and great location. Everything was within walking distance. The place was nicely decorated and bedding was very comfortable. The only thing it lacked was lamps in the bedrooms and living room which makes it difficult coming home to a dark room and getting ready for bed. Others than that it as a triple A+!
Great place. Refurbished historic home. Close to river walk but a bit of a beautiful walk to the river walk restaurants. Definitely recommend and would stay again.
A lovely quiet and secure place to refresh and recalibrate. Much thanks.
Nice, clean, and conveniently located
Wonderful location, near city center and one short walk to the riverwalk. Had lots of kitchen and bath amenities. Met all our needs.
This is a great location and centered pretty much close to every attraction in San Antonio, also close to downtown. Ms. Palacios was always easily accessible and the property had everything we needed for a nice restful weekend. Would definitely book again and recommend to others! Thanks again!
