Wonderful property as stated, well stocked kitchen and great beds. Only issue is door code given did not work for front door or parking garage so we had to use a residents code they shared with us
Couldn't get in the building garage or other amenities. Vacasa never sent a link to get the Latch app to us and when called still could not find to send to me. Circular keypad is not designed for continuous use and is very difficult to use. We had a code to get in the condo but couldn't get in the building or garage. Vacasa experience was very poor!
Loved this condo. Beds, kitchen, hot tub and amenities were perfect for a week in WP. My one complaint would be that the exterior doors are locked between 5pm and 8am and I was never sent any information about some app that needed to be downloaded. Thankfully a neighbor was able to share a code that we used for our stay as the room code doesn’t work on the exterior door. Vacasa maintains the property and calling a corporate office for help is less than ideal when you’re locked out of the building.
Modern Mountain Getaway is new condo in the heart of Winter Park and within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and shops. Master bedroom and bath were larger than expected, and furnishings were very nice. Although the condo is on the side of the building facing Hwy 40, it is setback a ways so road noise is minimal. The blind over the sliding door was broken/removed while we were there so the unit was very bright as soon as the sun rose, but presumably that can be fixed pretty quickly. One small issue was the heating. The temperature varied a lot, and was consistently above the thermostat setting, even though we never changed the setting. We were fine with the temp when we went to bed, but every night we would wake up sweating and then later we were chilled. Perhaps this is due to hvac design for the shared elements of the building, not the hvac for the unit. No biggie.
We chose this property because the listing included air conditioning. The listing was wrong and has been corrected, but the property manager was never in contact with us during our stay to try and mitigate the problems. The windows in this unit only open a couple of inches, so we couldn't keep the bedrooms cool, even when the temps dropped at night. It is located near downtown Winter Park, which meant that it was noisy at night with the windows open. We would not have rented this property if the listing had been correct and the property manager was never in contact with us to find a better solution. We've stayed in the mountains before during hot weather and we know we need air conditioning or good air flow to sleep comfortably at night. Other than that it was clean and very well furnished.
