Mountain view condo w/ fireplace, W/D, shared hot tubs - steps to gondola

This location was in a fabulous location, so close to the gondola, activities & restaurants. A quick car ride to downtown. The condo was spacious and comfortable.

The details can make a difference. There were lots of good things about this condo. Fantastic location, the beautiful views and high ceilings in this 5th floor unit, comfortable chairs, plenty of space, and well stocked kitchen and bedding supplies. So we had a good trip; and the snow was fantastic. Being picky, the unit is in need of some TLC. The hot water faucet in the kitchen would not shut off, so we had to turn it on and off under the sink; and several other faucets were worn or missing parts. The mattress on the sofa bed is simply awful as it is totally worn out. While we have generally had good experiences with Vacasa; I spent way too much time communicating with the manager. Took a day and a half to get the pilot light lit on the fireplace; and to deal with the hot water problem. Most difficult to understand is the towel policy for the hot tub. The two hot tubs were great, but they did not give us hot tub towels in each unit; and there were no towels at the hot tubs on two of our three nights. One night I texted and they did bring out some white room towels; but the last night there were no towels. The hot tub after a day of skiing is something we looked forward to sharing and making sure towels are available should be something the management is responsible for. I have asked for a discount due to the problems we experienced; and we will see. If they are fair we would rent here again.

Mountain view is amazing

Gorgeous views of the village twinklies- Warm and welcoming condo that’s an easy walk to the slopes. We had a wonderful week here with our family, cooked in most nights in the fully stocked kitchen. The hot tub was a welcome event after a long day of skiing. Stores and restaurants are an easy drive, with a local store just across the street. We’d stay here again for sure!

Location was wonderful, just steps from the Gondola. Space is good and so are the views from the top floor. Needs some blackout curtains in the bedrooms.

Location near the Gondola is hard to beat. Very nice place. A bit older but it’s nicer than the photos make it look. Only negative was many elevator trips up and down to bring bags up, but being in the top floor gives great views out the windows. We had a great stay and I’d recommend this place.

We love this large unit for our family to gather. It’s always clean and updated. The location is excellent for both our winter and summer activities. We highly recommend it!

Best vacation home/location!

Great location! Home is a little dated but overall is a great set up with three separate bed rooms which comfortable slept our family of 6. Very short walk to mountain and Gondola Square. With the right amount of snow can ski to nearly the entrance to the building. Great outdoor hot tubs and firepit! Great free shuttle with great service to anywhere in Steamboat city limits from morning until 1045 PM. Had two minor issue with TV and internet and the Vacasa team had someone at the home to fix within 5 minutes both times. Definitely highly recommend!!!

Pros: This condo has a fantastic location, only steps away from the gondola. The unit was clean with comfortable beds. The large windows let in lots of natural lighting. The Vacasa shuttle was easy to use and came quickly. Cons: The elevator did not work. This unit is on the fifth floor, and walking up/down the steps carrying boots and skis every day was miserable, not to mention luggage at the beginning and end of the stay. We had an elderly person in our party that could only leave once a day because of the steps - not an ideal way to spend a vacation. This is not the condo owner's fault, but future renters need to be aware that this could quickly ruin your trip if handicap accessible is a requirement.
