Lodging at Mountain Lodge 162 is available year round. Please note that during the fall and spring seasons, Snowshoe Resort may limit its operations; please check directly with the resort for what amenities will be available and pricing options.
During the summer season, enjoy the cooler mountain climate with hiking, lake activities (canoeing, paddle boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, inflatable slides, etc.), shooting sporting clays, riding off-rode vehicles, golfing, and, of course, mountain biking. There is even a zip line, climbing wall, and Euro-bungee right in the Village!
During winter, enjoy all a ski resort has to offer, over 60 trails, 3 terrain parks, a tubing park, and snowmobiling. The Village also provides a kid’s entertainment zone with games, food and inflatables.
The resort also offers summer and winter kids’ clubs, mountain biking and ski lessons, and so much more.
Again, activities and operations change seasonally, so double check with Snowshoe to ensure the activities you want will be available when you plan to be there as well as the cost of those activities. Varies passes and experiences can be booked directly through Snowshoe’s website.
MOUNTAIN LODGE
Mountain Lodge is a Ski In/Ski Out complex located in the heart of Snowshoe Resort, adjacent to the Snowshoe Village and slopes. Parking is free and easy for Mountain Lodge guests, with a private parking lot that is staffed and secured. Check-in also cannot be beat as Mountain Lodge has its own onsite check-in desk. Walk out of the building and you’ll be right at the top of high-speed Ballhooter Lift. You cannot find a more convenient place to stay for easy slope, trail and lake access!
The building includes a cozy fireplace atrium right off the check-in desk as well as a video game / arcade room, exercise equipment, a movie night area, onsite self-laundry facilities, and an indoor kids’ play structure. The lower level of the complex houses a bar, restaurant, and conference facilities (open seasonally). Unlike most other buildings at Snowshoe, Mountain Lodge has outstanding on-site staff, maintenance, and housekeeping staff that can fix most problems quickly with minimal interference with your vacation.
Just across our parking lot is the Split Rocks Pool complex with an indoor/outdoor pool, hot tubs, and saunas that are open in both ski and summer seasons (fee charged). Wildcat Provisions, the main mountain top market, is just across the street from our parking lot as well, so you can pick up any last minute food, beverages, or other supplies you need. Village amenities including Starbucks, restaurants, shops and entertainment are less than a 5-minute walk. You can also get to Silver Creek (night skiing, Coca Cola tubing park, etc.) and other areas of the resort by taking the free and convenient shuttle.
Pets (with the exception of registered service animals), bikes, and smoking are prohibited in the unit. Mountain Lodge does provide bike lockers inside the building for safe storage (fee charged).
MOUNTAIN LODGE 162
Mountain Lodge 162 is a one-bedroom mountain-view unit located on the ground floor and is easily accessible from the parking lot and front desk area. The room overlooks both the Ballhooter Lift and Shaver’s Lake. There is no better way to start your day catching the sunrise with a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate!
This condo has a portable air-conditioning unit as well as fans for use in the summertime.
The master bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed with NEW quality bedding and mattress. The ceiling fan and separate thermostat in the bedroom help regulate the temperature, while you watch the wall-mounted HD Smart TV. Double closets and nightstands provide room to unpack and enjoy your time.
The living room has a commercial grade, queen size sleeper sofa bed with a NEW mattress for your additional guests as well as an additional sitting chair and ceiling fan.
The full bathroom comes with a combination shower / tub. Under the vanity, please find a hair dryer and additional supplies. We also store a kiddie stool and potty seat to make things easier when vacationing with small children.
The kitchen comes fully equipped should you chose to dine in, with NEW dinnerware and utensils, pots and pans, a Keurig duo (bring K-cups or drip coffee to brew either way), crockpot, mixer, toaster, stove, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, and dish washer.
For entertainment, there is a NEW 40" Smart HD TV and Bluray player. All Mountain Lodge units provide free, room-specific Wi-Fi. Cellular service is often limited on the mountain, so the room Wi-Fi coupled with the free resort Wi-Fi while in the Village help you stay connected on your vacation.
The housekeeping fee includes an initial set up of linens, towels based on occupancy, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap / dish washing detergent, bath soap, coffee filters, and tissues. This unit will provide a refresher for stays over 4 nights, where onsite housekeeping will replenish your room without the need to visit the front desk or pay an additional charge (this is not included in all Mountain Lodge rentals)!
Official check in time is 5:00 PM and check out time is 11:00 AM -- these times are set and managed by on-site building management.
Beautiful place and view. Nice and cozy. Would stay here again. Thanks!
Nice and clean condo located conveniently near the slopes. It felt safe and had a nice view of the lake. Only downside is the roku tv instead of dish, but that is a preference.
This was a perfect base 'camp' for our 5 day autumn stay at Snowshoe. Within walking distance of all the action, but a quiet spot with a beautiful view. One oddity is the joint balcony with the condo next door- but they weren't onsite these days. We just weren't sure if we should use the table and chairs which were on 'their' side. The kitchen is short on counterspace and free cabinets- so if you plan to actually cook for 5 days- be prepared for this. (the table was our dry food storage) Oh, and be tall- the cabinets and utensil drawers are a bit high. The only thing missing for me was a measuring cup and spoons, which I'm sure can be easily remedied by the owner, or the cook with good guestimates. The bed and couch were comfortable and the TV was well positioned. The ceiling fan in the bedroom is very effective! Everything in the bathroom worked fine. I love the convenience of a door code rather than a card or key that can get lost. The dedicated parking lot is great! My husband and I would stay here again.
Condo was very clean. Nicely updated and great view of the mountains
Absolutely precious and great location within Mt. Lodge. Host was great. Just be aware the bedroom is very small. Lots of closet space, but no room to put a large suitcase full of ski gear for just one adult in the room. Could not imagine two! The view is amazing and I recommend this as long as you pack light!
The condo itself was pretty nice. A bit high priced for what you can get in the other snowshoe facilities. The pool being an extra fee is kind of ridiculous. Dishes were still in the dish washer from the previous person who stayed there and a lot of the dishes were dirty. Due to this we are out. All of the blankets and comforters wet dirty. The master bedroom comforter had someone’s boot print on it. Luckily we brought our own. Floors were clean but the smell of the cleaning products were a bit overwhelming. We travel a lot so we had candles to mask the pine sol (not sure if that is what it was) smell. Internet was fast but that was really the only thing updated in the mountain lodge. The common areas were gross and the smells of everyone’s dinner was bad. The constant running from kids on ski trips with their church/school at 10pm was annoying. I just wish the building was cleaner. I felt like I was walking into a motel that had not been updated since the 60s but for us we were there to snowboard so we tried to ignore it. I marked the property cleanliness a 4 because it just felt a bit unpolished but the mountain lodge building would be a 1 or 2. Add some light is the hallways. They were dark and smelled. Btw I’ve stayed in plenty of snowshoe properties and the only one worse is top of the world. The mountain lodge is a close second.
It is a very nice one bedroom, unfortunately we had no water in the morning of Christmas Day. Without water, we didn't have shower for an couple of days, and had to go out for using the bathroom during really cold nights. It was terrible experience. I kept calling the office and we didn't have water before checking out. I also have been trying to contact with the property manager, no one call me back.
My sister and I booked it less than 2 weeks away from the trip date. The location is conveniently close to the village and perfect for ski in/out. No complaints!
It was unusual because the resort was so empty since it was summer, not winter. That being said, the place was clean and taken care of. Only wish that the ski lift and/ or pool would have been included in the price.
Had a great little getaway to Snowshoe and got to stay in this nice little condo. Perfect size for what we needed, well equipped and most importantly beautiful views.
