Damage & House Rules Policy / Guest Responsibilities.
We inspect every condo at every check out. We again inspect every condo before every Guest Arrival.
We have documentation for each condo to assure the condo is good condition and working order before your arrival.
1) Guest is responsible to pay for any missing/broken/damaged items, extra check out cleaning & for a drain or toilet that requires clearing due to Guest clogging the drain or toilet. Every condo has a plunger for the toilet. If you clog the toilet, please use the plunger provided. Calling a Plumber is a Guest Expense. 2) Do not use the Kitchen Sink Garbage disposal for potato peels, fruit rinds, banana peels, pineapples, egg shells, noodles, rice etc. Calling a Plumber is a Guest Expense. 3) Sand: Please rinse off all sand (self and gear) before entering the hotel/condo (there are rinsing stations at the beach) to avoid extra cleaning fee and clogging the shower drains. 4) Lanai: Please do not hang towels or other items from the lanai. Please do not feed the birds. 5) No smoking in condo, on lanai or in common areas. Guest charged to have upholstery, drapes and linens cleaned, deodorized. 6) Guest responsible to pay for locksmith if they lock themselves out the of the bathrooms or damage a lock.

CANCELLATIONS: 1) Reservation deposit is non-refundable. 2) Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the check in date can have the deposit applied to another stay at the same condo within one year of the original check in date. 3) Cancellations made less than 60 days prior to check in will forfeit deposit. 4) Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to check in will forfeit deposit and rental balance payment. 5) We encourage you to get travel insurance so a cancellation can be recovered.

    While at Discovery Bay #1902, I was given 2 keys. A few weeks into my stay, our security guard brought me a 3rd key (marked with my room #) that was found on the floor of the elevator. This key would have allowed anyone to enter our rental apartment. I phoned the property manager who said he'd get right on it and phone me back. Weeks have past and I'm now returning home without ever hearing back from the manager. The second problem was when we arrived. We had been told that we could enter once we flew into Honolulu late at night. However, once we arrived the rental was not ready. Hence, we were forced to stay overnight in a hotel. The next day, we couldn't get in contact with the man who was supposed to let us in. I finally had to have the security guard let us into our rental. Much later that day, the keys were delivered to us with a lame excuse for why our greeter had missed us and not opened the apartment for us as was originally stated in our emails. Finally, a towel rack in the bathroom was loose, so I asked for it to be repaired. A handyman came and did half of the required repair, and said he'd return the next day. Three weeks pasted and I'm now leaving the apartment without the bathroom repair being finished. Welcome to Hawaii.
