With an ice/roller rink, cobblestone streets, outdoor fire pits, boutique shopping, movie theater, restaurants, and nightlife the new Village at Northstar is a great place to hang out during the day or after a day on the mountain.

Northstar is an all-season destination resort with world-class amenities. During your stay, enjoy access to the recreation center available exclusively to Northstar property owners for a nominal fee per person, per day. Rec center amenities include three swimming pools (Olympic, kiddie, and year-round lap pool), several outdoor year-round hot tubs, and a health club. Massage services are also available. The recreation center is perfect for families and teens, and includes a large game room with billiards, ping pong, foosball, and video games.

There is a world-class tennis center, horseback riding, and an 18-hole golf course that winds through the Martis Valley. Northstar also has its own set of hiking trails and offers world-class mountain biking with and without lift access, during the summer.

Northstar is very family oriented. In the winter, the ski school is conveniently located mid-mountain and has excellent ski and board programs for children and adults of all levels. Basic equipment rentals are available on site, along with demo ski/board programs. A day care program is also available.

A free shuttle bus is available to transport you throughout Northstar with a stop just outside of our home. However most of Northstar’s features are within minutes walks from our home.

We are only 10 minutes from King’s Beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Here you will find beautiful public beaches, water sports, playgrounds, restaurants, and shopping. In the opposite direction, historic downtown Truckee is a 10 minute drive with great restaurants and shopping. The Truckee Trolley shuttle can deliver you to this charming Old West town. The Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski areas are also short distances away. For those of you wishing to try your luck, we are 40 minutes from Reno and 20 minutes from Incline Village casinos on the Lake.

The place was lovely, very conveniently located next to the Highland Gondola. The hosts were lovely. Everything was very clear.

The host was very good at communication and the condo is exactly as advertised. One issue did come up, we couldn’t figure out how to tie on the vent for the stove, the host tried his best to help though. Great place for ski in / out. NorthStar did a very fun NYE celebration in the village.

The property itself is fantastic. Cozy, clean and well furnished for those who like to cook their own meals. Be advised the property is nestled in a peaceful and beautiful forested area, so that comes with forest-types of things. Take care where you park to avoid tree sap dripping on your car. Also, if you have a dog that is an 'eater,' watch for dead animals on the ground. When we were there we saw a dead bat and a dead bird. Also take care to clean your pet's paws before allowing it back inside; the sap on the floor will stick to them (along with pine needles, dirt, etc.) Finally, most of the other tenants who had dogs seemed to have an aversion to keeping them leashed, so be attentive when you're out, especially if you have your own dog with you. None of these are the result of any shortfalls with the property or its management, but they are things to note if you stay there. Again, with respect to the property and its management, we heartily give it a 5-star recommendation.

Property was clean and very well accommodated. Near the village so super convenient. We were alittle surprised by no A/C especially given it was over 90 degrees this weekend in Northstar but it cooled down in the evening so we could open the windows so it wasnt too big of a deal. Overall we loved it!

The property was perfect for my husband and daughter. It is close to Truckee and Kings Beach, that the and walking distance to the Village in Northstar. The only downfall is the beds were horrible. My husband and I both woke up with sore backs and necks. Other than that, it has everything you need to cook and enjoy your time.

Robin and Jeff are wonderful hosts! They communicated very efficiently, usually replying within 1-2 hours and often less. Their home is beautiful. Old fashioned, charming, and very clean! They provided very clear information for our stay. And very clear check out instructions. There is a full kitchen with all the supplies needed. Plenty of towels. They also provided separate towels in case you needed to clean your pets or needed something to place your wet boots on. The ski locker is very convenient. During ski season, there are 2 ski trails to ski in and out of. Condo trail (Green) takes an extra few minutes to walk to. Coyote Fork trail (blue) is closer, up a few steps. Our family had a wonderful time and now can say we stayed somewhere to ski in/out of!

You can tell that this is a place that the owners would also want to stay - it is clean, thoughtfully furnished/decorated, and updated. The location is amazing - ski in/out and just a five minute walk to the village.

I absolutely love this condo and the location. I’ve been coming here for the last five years and I will keep coming back. Jeff and Robin are amazing to deal with, friendly people. The ski in/out is a great attribute to have and its close to the condo, makes it very easy to ski.Kelly

The place is generally as advertised. Communication with Robin, the host, was excellent. She responded quickly to questions before our stay and provided wonderfully detailed information both before and during. Everything was easy-peasy. My only complaints have to do with guest comfort. The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were the crinkliest, thinnest things imaginable. My neck is still paying the price a week later. Meanwhile, the tub/shower are in desperate need of updating, not just cosmetically, but functionally. The controls are so ancient that they’ve become nearly impossible to adjust—it took forever to dial in an acceptable temperature. That said, the pros certainly outweigh the cons—especially since Robin and her husband are among the few Northstar condo owners to accept pets. We would definitely return (with our own pillows from home) if bringing our pooch up to Tahoe again. But if not, we’d probably opt for a place in the village that’s more conveniently located and updated.

Ski in and out made it easy to get on the mountain, enjoy lunch in the condo, and head back out in the afternoon. The condo is perfect for our family of 4 and dog. Super easy access from the parking lot to unload and load the car just a few steps away. The place is clean and very well stocked with everything we needed to cook, relax, and stay warm and cozy. There is also a large open area for snow play right next to the condo for when we were done being on the slopes. Great place and would definitely book again.

Only surprise was no curtains on family room and a bit too much light through front door at night. We recommend bringing an eye mask for anyone sleeping in family room. Super clean, well stocked and pet friendly place

This place is perfect for hiking/biking at Northstar. We and our two pups were comfy - we just wish the bedroom had been big enough for a king size bed.
