Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was just okay. The AC unit in the bedroom is so worn out and loud it made it impossible to sleep if you had it on . The bed is very soft I prefer a firmer bed so basically had 11 nights of very little sleep . Cleaning was not great don’t look under the bed it disgusting. Once your out of the bedroom the unit is pretty good..

It is located on the north side of the building, and we were pleased as it did not get so hot for us as on the south or west sides. We only used the a/c when we were cooking a turkey on Christmas Day. There were many wonderful appliances to use - instant pot, panini press to name a couple.Full sized stove and well appointed kitchen, newly renovated. Comfortable bed and pillows were a plus.(I am picky about pillows - but loved these ones) Great, central location for what we plan to do in Kihei....beaches close, shopping and amenities are close by - within walking distance if you are in to that. When we return to Maui, we would plan to stay in this unit again.

The condo we stayed in needs attention. The bed was comfortable enough to not have you waking up sore but not the most comfortable bed I have been in. It is equipped with the basics in the kitchen and a Keurig, I enjoyed my morning coffee on the Lanai. Ok now the rest. This condo is in need of a very deep clean, the swifter will not cut it anymore! There was a ton of hair built up in the shower drain, and grime everywhere(I have pictures for whoever wants them.). The mattress on the sleeper sofa needed to be replaced years ago and the mattress pad was shredded. We went to WalMart and bough our boys air mattresses to sleep on it was so bad. Like I said this unit is in a good location but it has been a while since somebody really gave it the attention it needs.

Our first night there, I found a huge cockroach in the bathroom. There are multiple roach traps around the apartment but even then we continued to find baby and medium size roaches from time to time. I wouldn’t go as far as calling it an infestation, but definitely more roaches than there should be in a small apartment even with the humidity and nature of the area.

The property is close to several amenities within walking distance. The beach is across the road with snorkelling and swimming. The on-site pools are cold and not designed for children, especially babies. There also wasn’t a bath tub to bathe the baby. Shower only. Information supplied by email for check in was incorrect and had the wrong information. This caused issues for us but we made it through.

Maui Vista 1220 has everything you'd need for your vacation. Well-equipped and a very short walk to the beach, and close to restaurants and shops. The complex is well-maintained. This unit is located above the office area as well as overlooking a parking area, so it's not always super quiet, if that's what you're looking for. Overall, we were pleased with our stay here!

Loved the location. Condo and amenities were excellent. Had a great time.

We expect to return to this property and perhaps to this unit.
