Marigot Beach 103-Oceanfront 101st St, Free WiFi, Pool, Elev, W/D, AC

We loved the location, cleanliness and accomodations. The only draw back was the loud construction on the deck right below our balcony every single day, all day long listening to saws and hammering. It made sitting out there not an option, and sleeping in the morning impossible. We knew the pool would not be available which was no problem. A warning about the construction would have been nice. I realize updates are necessary and good for the property but did not know we would be spending our quiet vacation on top of and in the middle of construction. Not sure who needs to know about it but there were 2 light bulbs blown out, one in each bathroom. Not a problem but will be if the second bulbs in each blow out. Lovely location and view.

Check in was easy. Kitchen was fine, really like the brew and Kuerig combo coffee. Major issue was not the room, but the property description says indoor pool and outdoor deck. Pool was closed and under construction and deck was taken apart months ago. Should have informed us and offered cancelation or discount to rental fee.

Having stayed in Ocean City about 10 times in the last 16 years, this unit and building were both average for a beach condo. All basic items were available and everything in the condo functioned as we needed it to. The pool was under construction as well as the bottom level on the beach/outside of the building which were both closed off, but that really didn’t hinder our stay! Being on the first floor didn’t give us the view we are used to.m, but it was nice not having to climb steps or wait on the elevator. I was disappointed upon arrival though. When I checked in at the real estate office, I was told that the owners son and his family had been there the previous week and thought they were checking out the next day… so they checked out later than 10am. This delayed our entry to the unit for more than an hour, waiting for the cleaning service to finish. After traveling 8 hours to get there (on time), the last thing we wanted to do was wait, unnecessarily!… and I still had to sweep, empty the dishwasher and wipe down surfaces when we got inside… this little mix up also delayed the linen service for 2 days- so we had someone else’s dirty bed linens outside our door until late afternoon on Monday. I will say Holiday was fantastic in speedy response and helped out when I asked- they were great to work with. I never had any correspondence from the owner the entire time we were there, or after our departure. I would rent from Holiday Real Estate, but not this particular unit.

Great family friendly place to stay. Clean and beautiful view of the beach. Our family was very comfortable staying here.
