Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was clean and in a great location. The office staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The condo really has one shower. The master bath shower is a deep soaking tub and I actually fell and the bar placed to hold on to came off and hit me. Some of the decor is beautiful but in my opinion way too much stuff and some is very tacky. Furniture is not comfortable.

Great property, you can top the view and location with a beach right out front! Plenty of room and well-appointed, it has everything you need for a great stay. Can't say enough but will gladly stay here anytime.

My family and I stayed at Makani Sands and enjoyed gorgeous ocean views. We loved having the ocean right outside, and enjoyed hanging out on the patio and balconies. Our apartment was very clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend for anyone coming to Maui. Great location to, could walk to coffee shops, restaurants, bakeries,etc.

We stayed on Maui to celebrate my wife, her mother, and grandmother who were all celebrating milestone birthdays this year. We had a great time. The property was incredible. We checked in on a Sunday afternoon after a delayed flight in and the process was super easy. Within 5 minutes of arriving, we'd already seen whales and sea turtles off the balcony. This would continue to be a feature for the entire trip. It's walking distance from many shops, restaurants, and recreation, and the well equipped kitchen makes it easy to save money by cooking some of your meals instead of going out. The beach and patio in the back are great and there are grills for cooking out. After long days of running around or hanging out at the beach, the heated pool was great to relax in and end the day. There was very little that wasn't answered ahead of time, but Tammy was available for any questions and was super friendly. If we had to offer any constructive criticism, it would be that the lights and AC sometimes seemed counterintuitive to use. Most likely it was user error and didn't hinder our experience in the least. We enjoyed many hours on the lanais watching the whales, turtles, sunsets, and stars. We'll definitely be back to Maui and when we do we'll be staying at Makani Sands!

Being able to sit on the lanai and watch the whales was amazing. We would definitely go back.

Family of 5 adults - just the right size for us and can’t get a better view of the ocean. You can walk outside and go down a few steps and be in the ocean if you would like. Only downfall of the condo is that there is no room in twin bed room to put your luggage and things. A/C was hard to figure out how to work but we finally got it going as well. We would stay again when going to Maui

Nice property and great location. Amazing ocean views right from the lanai. Crazy amount of art work! Tammy made everything easier. She answered all our questions and was always easy to reach with any questions. Would definitely book here again!
