    Second time at this condo. As amazing as it was the first time! Clean, great views, easy check in, great hosts, easy parking, great location. Will be staying again!

    Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was fine. Definitely old, so dirt built up in corners and grouting, but not necessarily dirty. Nice to be able to walk easily around Waikiki. Pull out bed was comfortable and the kitchen had enough dishes and pans. Beach chairs and an umbrella were available. Parking garage was a tight squeeze. Not luxury, but good enough for our family of 4 for the three nights we were in Waikiki. Wouldn’t want to spend a whole week or more there. Condo owner was generally easy to work with. Also, it was a little damp, which is common in this area, so there was a damp smell, but not terrible.

    The location is good, the view is great, but man is it a mess. The pictures look great online. Reasonable to other reviews, the issues that they found and mentioned are still issues.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros of this rental:1. Location was great- eastern end of Waikiki. Close to the action, but a bit removed from the craziest part of the resort area. Very short walk to beach. Beaches nicer on this end of the strip and less crowded. 2. Unit was clean and generally nice. Had all the necessities. Kitchen was well-equipped. 3. Check in/out was easy and Captain Cook Resorts was responsive. 4. Pool and barbecue area were nice. Cons of this rental:1. The couch (advertised as a sleep sofa) was old and lumpy. We had planned to have 3 adults in this unit- 2 in the bedroom and 1 in the living area. The couch was not suitable for this purpose and needs to be replaced. We had to purchase an air mattress for the guest sleeping in the living area. 2. The water in the kitchen smelled bad. I did not notice this problem in the bathroom, only the kitchen.

    About a 7 minute walk to the beach The balcony overlooks the mountains, canal and diamond head. You can’t see the beach but we didn’t mind We loved the bed. We prefer a more firm bed and it was just that. The beach chairs and umbrella were a huge plus. We used them daily. Well stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of towels for our 9 day stay (we reused a few times) There is a little mart on floor 5 that was great for a quick snack or anything you forgot. The pool area is great, although most of the day it’s in the shade. It wasn’t overly crowded, we laid in the chairs a few times, but never swam. Nice bbq area (we didn’t use but was very nice) There was always plenty of parking. Elevators can be busy during peak hours, there are 30+ floors so lots of people coming and going, but wasn’t a huge issue for us to wait a few. As some people noted, a few things in the condo could be updated like the vanity, sink and faucet, but that doesn’t bother us at all. The building is well made and you can’t hear hall noise or neighbors. This is important to me as I’m a light sleeper. We did hear the people above moving their chairs around the floors quite often, but they might have just been a big group staying there . But could never hear neighbors talking or halls doors slamming. The keyless entry was nice so we didn’t have to bring a key when we walked to the beach. My only suggestion would be to have smart TV’s so we could watch streaming apps in the evenings. Would stay again!

    So this condo appears renovated but it’s poorly done and what you’re really paying for is the location. It’s about 2 blocks to the beach which is nice. The condo itself was liveable but it had some plaster falling off the wall in the bedroom, the kitchen sink backed up and the garbage disposal wasn’t working so we had to have someone come and fix that, mold painted over on the bedroom ceiling, cob webs with dust hanging from the popcorn ceiling, mold on the bathroom floor grout, a hole in the bedroom wall where an outlet used to be that is gone now just an open hole. It’s also incredibly loud the sirens from police and fire never stop even though you’re on the 28th floor you hear everything. Oh that’s another thing the walls are super thin, the living room couch is super uncomfortable to sit on and you feel like the springs are going to break. The entire condo/hotel is in bad shape and it needs to be renovated. They had to do an emergency water shut off one day from 08-12pm which turned the AC off also and another night at 10pm there was a fire alarm and we had to climb the stairs down.     This place as everything I hoped it would be. Great views. Everything you need in a kitchen. Great bathroom. I’m glad I chose it. Only thing I’d the pull out couch was uncomfortable and pretty worn, they could upgrade it, but my teen was sleeping on it and he didn’t complain. I couldn’t have slept on it. They being said the master bedroom was super comfortable. Also note the boogie boards they have there are for small children. Any teens or adults will have to buy out rent their own. The umbrella is also no good against any wind. Everything else was perfect. I would definitely stay there again given the opportunity.
