No hot water, host rude about it. We weren’t able to get hot water here. My wife started a bath – immediately went cold (1st time using bath/shower other than to wash hands). Waited 30 mins but still no hot water. Neither of us could bathe or shower after a day of hiking. When I emailed Brett at Stay Living the Dream, I said it must be our error: There is a 30 gallon hot water tank dedicated for this unit you should have had plenty of hot water for a shower. My check in instructions note that you cannot take multiple showers and expect to have hot water. You can also not take a bath with a 30 gallon tank. Sometimes the breaker trips and that would’ve been an easy solution the breaker is in the kitchen.” So according to the host, the hot can be a problem. If there were instructions about this, we missed them. But who would expect not to have hot water in a condo? The description on VRBO & others lists a shower/tub combo – nothing about multiple uses. When I expressed frustration with being told it was our fault, Brett left off with,Well we checked the unit and it had hot water and the next guest has had no issues no not sure what to tell you.” It was clear he was unwilling to consider there could have been a problem that we didn’t cause. Frankly, it felt like he was questioning my honesty. When I took time to read other bad reviews on other sites, we’re not the only ones who’ve had this issue, or other issues. Many are met with similarly rude, accusatory responses.

This is a very small, very basic rental unit in perhaps the best rental location on Main Street. Large patio area for guests and owners overlooking the sidewalk with a grill and large picnic table—perfect place to sit with coffee or a drink and people watch. Everything you need is within a block, from groceries and liquor, to great coffee, to nice eateries. If you want to take the gondola up the mountain, you are at that end of town. The unit doesn’t have wifi or AC or a fan (we bought a box fan as the summer daytime temperatures can be warm). There is a trip hazard between the bedroom and living area that we stumbled in the dark on numerous times (fortunately without falling). We loved the location however and would book again.

Location is the only thing going for this place......zero hot water, worst shower ever, electric fireplace doesnt heat, showing e3 error code.....stayed on a night with 70 mph winds so the only warm room was the bedroom

The location was perfect. The apartment was clean. A couple bits of feedback: there is no screen in the only window and this could be a hazard for small children. The sliding door does not have a bottom railing and this could also be dangerous / easily broken. The toilet ran, there was no enough hot water for a bath for my child. The fridge had a terrible smell. We woke up to dog waste on the front mat the first day. Also and this could just be a picky person speaking - the first aid kit was missing tylenol and neosporin, there was no sugar or creamer or anything for coffee, and no q-tips

My husband and I just returned from a quick, impromptu 2 day stay in Breckenridge. We wanted someplace in town that would allow us to walk everywhere and this fit the bill perfectly! It's clean, comfortable and was just what we were looking for. The bed was comfortable, no excessive street noise and on the top floor so no issues hearing neighbors footsteps. It has a barebones kitchen set up so I wouldn't want to be cooking meals, but we had no need for that anyway. We would definitely stay again.

The apartment was very clean, check in was easy and location was fantastic and walkable to the gondola in ski boots. Was advertised as good for small families but it is not good for smaller kids, we had to keep eagle eyes on our kids and it was really draining (examples below). There is no dishwasher, no drying rack, no dish gloves and used sponges so maybe bring your own if you will cook. There needs to be a dead bolt because the code does not change (it’s framed on the wall) so anyone who has stayed there can get in. Faster deposit payback would be appreciated (21 days!) Some things that made it not kid friendly that would be easy to fix: The kitchen knives are stored in a drawer close to the floor. There is no screen in front of the heater in the fireplace so we couldn’t use it. The sliding door to the bedroom has a broken floor guide and could fall on a kid who pushes on the door. The front door curtains are held up by a curtain rod that would be easy to pull down. Lots of little things.

The property has a great location. It is exceptionally clean. The fireplace is electric and looks like plastic logs. It puts out heat but laughable ambiance. There are no drawers or cubbies for storage. The oven is a toaster oven and the cook top has two burners. Bring your TV subscription codes or there is only news on the TV. No national stations with the cable package.
