Magnificent Views from this 10th Floor Paradise at Ocean Vistas Unit 1007

The unit itself is outdated. There was a mold issue while we were there.

We spent our Spring Breaks there in Daytona Beach at a place just down the road from Ocean Vistas from 2010 through 2016. This is the first time we’ve come for the week between Christmas and NYE. This condo was perfect for a family of 5 adults and a dog; very spacious with all the necessary amenities. We truly enjoyed the oceanfront balcony watching the sunrise and eating/playing cards on the large table. The other balcony off of the other 2 bedrooms provided a sunset view as well. Heated pool was awesome especially on the chilly days. Only suggestion would be is provide more eating utensils; we’d run out quickly and there wasn’t a wine/bottle opener so we bought one and left it. Mary was awesome! Her flight was canceled, but she called and text us several times before our arrival, during our stay and after we checked out to make sure all was going good for us. Luckily the building was right next to a beach access road because the piers at the condo were closed due to the recent hurricane damage. No fault of the facility. I feel bad for many other places around Ocean Vistas because of property damage. All our favorite waterfront restaurants were open and it was fun seeing how Daytona Beach closed off Main St for NYE with bands, food trucks, other entertainment and fireworks. Not sure when we will get back to Daytona Beach, but if we do, we would definitely rent this condo again.

The unit, cleanliness and check in was great! Mary was great!! If you want to enjoy yourself and like rude property managers it’s the place for you!! Don’t go barefooted, don’t throw or toss a ball, don’t enjoy the wet areas pool hot tub or fire pit after dark, the security live there they are hateful they hate weekly renters, animals are to be on a leash unless you are the president of the HOA then they just roam free in the lobby. They can’t tell glass from plastic! They yell at kids, correct little kids not the parents…….. Cruella de Ville as the pool people were calling her was horrible…….never in 40 years of going to Daytona have been treated so poorly …..never again!! I’ll find a new place to stay! And they don’t like being told of their deficiencies like leaving the gates propped open with cones with no security around and taping the doors with masking tape so anyone could enter, although you suppose to use an electronic fob to enter the buildings.

Overall great space, location, and amenities. Everything as described in the listing. Would totally come back again.

We had a great experience. The condo and the building were both very nice, better than the pictures. Great location and directly ocean front. The management company was great to work with and made it seamless. I would definitely recommend this place!

Plenty of room for five adults. Fabulous views of the beach. Everyone had a wonderful experience!

Mary helped us check in and out she was so helpful! The property is great you will love it, we all hope to go back next year to the same place.

We had a wonderful time. Kitchen had everything you would need. We were very unhappy that the outside grill did not work. That was one of the reasons we booked. I suggest if you book this unit you bring your own beach towels. What they supply are few and worn. Other than the grill and towels everything was wonderful. Between the view and the sound of the ocean it was so relaxing. Mary was very helpful before and during check in.

This is a nice unit, however there were some things needing attention. The outside grill only had one working side and the other had a part missing from the grate. There weren’t enough towels and especially kitchen towels-we couldn’t even find one. The appliances in the kitchen seemed slow and made lots of noises. Those things can be overlooked and overall it’s a great place to stay.

It was truck week so we were subjected to loud trucks, terrible traffic and truckers standing on the beach and on the road sides urinating in full view of all. If we had known we would definitely not gone to Daytona. Sadly we will never go back even though the condo was beautiful and very well stocked.
