Communication was poor. We never received any instructions on how to gain access to the property even after asking by email. Fortunately a property owner happened to be at the gate and could advise us of the office location. We needed to wash all pans and clean the stove before it could be used because of carbonized food scraps stuck to oven. Good location, good facilities although the male sauna never worked. The second Unit (34C Salt Rim) (we extended the stay) was much nicer however had a serious cockroach infestation.

31 nights of December. Every one of our stays has been a different place. What made this long winter stay enjoyable was the resort's indoor heated pool, hot tub, gym and sauna. Almost always had them to ourselves. We did not use the outdoor pool, hot tub and karaoke tiki bar grill (music 6 - 10pm). Explored miles of deserted wide white Florida and Alabama beaches and saw a huge pod of porpoises just offshore. The beautiful Cobalt restaurant was our favorite. The resort's wifi was 100% strong, as was the condo's shower. The only crimp was the freezing Christmas weekend when the noisy heater powered up. Nevertheless, we got our 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep by setting the temp in the 50s and utilizing the provided cozy warm bed comforter. Otherwise, day highs were in the 70s and night lows in the high 60s. Resort's staff were all nice.

Easy to rent and check in. Would recommend having a National Park pass if the beach was a primary reason for visiting, as the recommended beach to visit from the property Johnson Beach is in the National Sea Shore National Monument. The beach is beautiful and less crowded than the other public beach’s but the park fee could get expensive. Also you must have your own beach gear no rentals at Johnson Beach.

The unit that we rented had recently been renovated. There was a lot of drywall dust on light fixtures and even some of the dishes in the kitchen. No bedside lighting in the bedroom. Suggest some kind of window covering for the front door. We love music but must admit it was a bit loud a couple of nights. The unit was very cute and has a lot of potential. We would definitely come back and rent here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Being evacuees from Hurricane Ida, we stayed at the resort for two weeks and reserved 3 different units. 2 out of the 3 villas were not fully restored from last year’s storm damage. We were charged full, high season rates despite the dishwasher not connected, cold water faucet in shower not connected preventing taking a shower or bath, refrigerator ice maker broken, 5 dishes were in kitchen cabinet unwashed and covered with old food and mold, there was a used, baby’s swim diaper lying in the garden out front door. The kitchen had only 2 forks, and 2 coffee mugs. Rental agency closed down midweek for two days during rainy weather and did not return any calls. Finally called emergency number, connected to voicemail, left message, and still no one returned my call. In the second villa we moved to, the washing machine was not connected so washing clothes was not an option, and a cabinet in the bathroom was unfinished, leaving a big hole. Upon checking out, I was treated extremely rudely by PKRM employee “Kim” who is completely lacking in customer service skills, and could not have been anymore discourteous, bordering on insulting. Avoid any contact with her, and deal with one of the other agents who are more helpful and professional. Be warned, the photos of the villas showing on the website are old photos from pre-storm damage. This realty company is renting villas that are still under reconstruction, not completed, not fully furnished and stocked, and charging full rates!
