Frisco, Colorado
This 1910 square foot condo was originally designed to be the retirement home of the Bears Den developer. Its huge great room has panoramic windows with views of both downtown Frisco, majestic Buffalo Mountain and the Front Range (including the 14er’s Grays and Torres Peaks), while the upstairs bedrooms offer the same, plus views of the Ten Mile Range. The Rowe sectional sofa is Relaxation Central, where tired skiers and hikers can stretch out in front of the fire, a view of Buffalo Mountain, and a 55-inch Samsung LED TV.
If you don’t fall asleep on the luxurious sofa and have enough energy for another short climb, ascend to the second level where you’ll have the choice of a Queen Bedroom with two new Simmons Beautyrest queen beds and private bath OR a King Bedroom with a Beautyrest king OR a Sunroom/Dayroom double twin daybed. The King and Day rooms share a full bath with glass shower enclosure. If kids or teens prefer “camping out” by the TV and fire in the A8 Great Room, twin-size inflatable beds and mats come with the unit to expand your group’s sleeping options.
Only one block from Main Street, Bears Den guests are only a short walk from a dozen dining experiences from the elegance of Vinny’s and the Blue Spruce Inn, to family fare at the Butterhorn, the Boatyard, Greco's and Kemosabe Sushi, to the best pizza in Summit County at Peppino’s. Top them off with an ice cream cone or fudge treat at Foote's Rest less than 100 yards from Bears Den. Or a local craft beer at The Moosejaw or the Brewery, also on Main Street. Not to mention browsing a multitude of shops offering sporting goods and clothing, ladies’ apparel, gifts and antiques, baby items, novelties, and bargain consignments.
Also less than one block from the Bears Den are the stops for the Summit Stage Free Shuttle, which will whisk you directly to Copper Mountain in 10 minutes, to Breckenridge in 20 minutes, and, with a shuttle change, to Keystone in about 30 minutes. Alternatively, you may take your rental car from your spot in Bears Den’s heated underground garage to any of the 4 local resorts in even less time, or to Vail (21 miles west) or Beaver Creek (34 miles west) via I-70.
Incidentally, Bears Den A8 is one of only 3 condos in Bears Den served by an elevator to the heated garage below, so hauling groceries or outdoor equipment need not involve tramping through the elements or up stairs.
In summer, you’ll have no need for a car to enjoy the frequent art shows and festivals on Frisco’s Main Street, or the July 4th Concert and Fireworks down at the Frisco Marina on Lake Dillon. In fact, the July 4th Parade ends just outside A8! Frisco is very safe, so family members of nearly all ages can come and go at each one’s individual pace and endurance, gaining access to A8 by using our special combination access (changed between rentals) so that there is no need to keep track of keys.
Since this unit is professionally managed and maintained by Book by Owner, you will be using bright-white sheets and 100%-cotton towels that are professionally cleaned, and you will have ready access to a local manager 24/7 for anything from a burned-out light bulb to an appliance question.
Overall, Bears Den A8 is as user-friendly an accommodation as any in Summit County. We’ll bet that you will want to return year after year.

We had a great time at Bears Den A8! The spacious condo provided the perfect space to relax after a long day of skiing. The heated underground garage & elevator made luggage transport & parking so convenient & easy. Nicely stocked to prepare meals at home. Perfect location to walk & explore Main St. Frisco’s shops & restaurants and close to all major ski resorts. The owners were outstanding - super responsive & went above & beyond to walk us through the fire place operation. Definitely would stay again!
Nice accommodation in a great location. The garage w/ elevator a really nice amenity. One thing I overlooked in booking, and missed was an outdoor seating area- a patio, balcony or deck - this place doesn't have that. Probably no big deal in the winter, but sorely missed during the summer.
Really enjoyed our stay, the neighborhood, the size, cleanliness, ease of contact with the owner/manager. We cherish our time in Colorado in the winter. We look forward to being able to book this property again!!!!
The downstairs is perfect for large groups. A ton of room to sit, eat, watch TV. No ski storage that I saw, but underground parking made that no big deal. The bedroom arrangement is not good for more than two couples, but one room does have two queen beds and a single. We’d definitely stay here again.
Our group of 4 guys have been skiing together for 35 years and our stay at Bears Den was in the top 5 of all the places we have ever stayed. Location cannot be beat. Less than a 1 minute walk to Main street and all the bars and restaurants. Very spacious and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. We especially appreciated the variety of condiments that were in the cabinets. Even the in-unit washer and dryer had detergent and dryer sheets. Bathrooms were clean and updated as was the entire condo. The garage and elevator made loading and unloading a breeze. The TV in the living room must have been 75 and , while it took a bit to understand the operation, we were able to watch all our favorite ball games. (go Jayhawks! (and to a lesser extent Carolina tarheels and Duke bluedevils)). I want to shout out to the cleaning crew that was still working when we arrived. They were amazing and so helpful as we looked for an air mattress to set up in the LR. They came back 5 minutes later with a luxury twin memory foam mattress extra pillows and frame that worked perfectly. Those two ladies were really great. Our next stay in Frisco will definitely be at Bears Den!!
Better than the photos! We had so much room for my tween boys and mother in law. Well stocked kitchen, clean and comfortable spaces. Perfect location to shuttle and walk to town plus underground parking. Would definitely stay again.
Great stay
My family and I had a wonderful time at the condo. It was extremely close to Main Street making it easy to enjoy the town after skiing all day. It was also nice and close to the ski resorts. The condo was great! Very large, spacious and clean.
This was an enjoyable stay in Frisco. Great location and the space was perfect for our family of 4 and our extended family on Christmas Day. Highly recommend and a place we will stay again during out next trip to Colorado.
Perfect place for 6 people. Can handle more. Wonderful location because it is close to everything.
This property was perfect for our multi generation family stay. Located in downtown Frisco, with walking proximity to playgrounds, restaurants and shops, we were able to take advantage of this fun town to the fullest. The unit comes with underground parking and an elevator which made it easy to deal with our bags. Great communication with the owner. Highly recommend
Excellent location! Quick responses in communication with the owner. Lots of space for only a 2 and a half bedroom. Funky layout. Heated underground garage was great to have.
