Stayed Jan 29, 2024Property grounds are beautiful. Easy access via gates and codes (keyless). Spacious condo with 2 bathrooms, full kitchen. Bed was comfty. Pull out couch was ok. The condo itself appears to be slightly updated. Our stay was perfect. Place was clean. Owner responded quickly. We'd stay again. Short walk to beach and trails.

Stayed Jan 16, 2023First the good points! The property is exactly as shown. Very accurate in terms of the photos. Comfortable and clean. There was an AC in the living room and one in the bedroom. We found opening windows and the cross breeze was all we needed, so did not use them. Boogie boards, snorkeling gear, 2 lounge chairs were in the outside closet. Comes with a Keurig (didn't like this just based on personal preference as it didn't allow us to use the local coffee we like to buy). Now the not so great...the property is a newer listing and the property owner appeared inexperienced with the rules of the resort and how to operate the rental. In retrospect, it would affect my choice to rent from a new listing with no reviews in the future. We arrived to find that the resort required all guests to check in and pay a resort fee. None of this was disclosed in the listing. When I contacted the property owner, he didn't know about it and insinuated that we were somehow being duped by property management into paying it. After a few back and forths, it turns out he was incorrect and didn't know about the resort/HOA policies. I'm hoping he has since corrected this in his listing and his pricing. I'm disappointed there was no apology about this and effort to make this right with his guests. It is the owner's responsibility to comply with the HOA and resort rules and to inform his guests of these policies. It should not have been up to us to navigate this process. I'd encourage any future renters to ask the owner about this process if its unclear in the description. We also had to contact the owner to get the check-in instructions. He said VRBO should have sent this to us. Again, lack of familiarity with the process of renting this unit out made us have to do a lot more follow up with the owner than we should have needed to. I appreciated that he was responsive, but it all felt disorganized.
