Loggerhead Cay 562 is a very nice second floor vacation rental condominium. Our two bedroom/two bathroom condo has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area with queen sized sleeper sofa and screened porch with courtyard, pool and partial views of the Gulf of Mexico. The master bedroom suite has a new king bed with en-suite bathroom while the guest bedroom has two twin beds and a full bathroom just outside the room. Experience a nicely refreshed look as we recently updated our bathrooms,flooring, kitchen and paint throughout. Our condo offers free high speed wireless internet, cable TV and very easy access to the world famous Sanibel Island shelling beaches, the community pool (one of the largest on the Island and heated during winter months) as well as the other community amenities such as tennis courts, shuffleboard and bbq grills. Loggerhead Cay is one of the most popular rental locations on Sanibel Island with its very convenient East Gulf Drive location. Avoid the traffic during peak season with easy on-off the Island via the Sanibel Causeway. The bike paths run in front of the complex, across East Gulf Drive and Dante's Coal Fired Pizza is a short walk away at the Sanibel Inn.

    Condo was spotless and has recently had modern furniture updates which was a nice bonus. We did not have any questions as the arrival info was very thorough. There was constant communication throughout our stay regarding some pool issues the complex was experiencing and other needed updates and reminders. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

    The condo was very clean and the furnishings were lovely. The pool was very well maintained. A few issues with the elevator but that was quickly taken care of. Wasy walk to the beach and places to rinse off. We were blessed with beautiful weather. Thank you for sharing with us.

    Location is perfect, had everything we needed. It would receive 5 stars from us with a few improvements the tile in the kitchen is in need of repair at times I felt the floor move and several tiles were damaged. Carpet was dirty and the place needed a thorough cleaning and better lighting.

    We enjoyed the unit very much. It was clean and well cared for. The furnishings were very comfortable for evening activities. The unit overlooks the pool and gardens, and the view was pleasant and inviting, with many flowering trees and bushes. The beds were very comfortable. The internet connection was seemless.

    This was our first time in Sanibel and we are looking to make it an annual trip. Just steps from the beach and a short drive to restaurants and shopping make Loggerhead Cay condos a perfect location. We did have an issue with the dryer in our unit and wish it had been taken care of during our stay but we were able to make it work.

    We've come to Sanibel for the past 5 years, and Sanibel always makes for a great vacation (especially if you can get around by bicycle). This Condo was good, and has all of the basic things you need for a good stay in Sanibel. Plenty of space, TVs, good wifi, nice pool, easy beach access, beach chairs and umbrellas, parking for your car and bikes. Check-in and check-out process was smooth, but note the 10am check-out, which I think is awfully early compared to other similar condos (where check-out is typically 11am or 12p). So overall, we had a really good vacation. There are, however, a variety of issues to note: 1. The beds are quite firm, which we found uncomfortable. The fitted sheet also constantly kept coming off of the king sized bed. I finally had to buy clips to hold this in place so that I could get a good night's sleep. I would strongly encourage the owners to get a pillow-top for this mattress, it would be a relatively inexpensive fix that would make the bed much more comfortable. 2. The kitchen is not well stocked at all. There weren't any containers for storing leftovers, not enough utensils or silverware, and the dishwasher was not in good working order (I actually had to put zip-ties into the the end of the dishwashers top rack to keep it from falling out). It definitely seems like this unit is corporately owned, as no owner would put up with these little issues. 3. Unit had been cleaned well, but still doesn't look very clean, due to cracked molding, sloppy paint job, etc. The drain was slow which resulted in some unpleasant odors on a few occasions. I almost fixed this too, but I was afraid of what might be in that drain. 4. The unit wasn't very well sound-proofed. It's right by the pool and the neighbors weren't especially quiet. If you are really sensitive to noise, or really want to hear the surf, this may not be for you. It wasn't loud enough to really bother us, so I think most people will be OK.
