Literally Right On the Beach - 2BR Condo Perfect for Couples & Small Families

We loved our stay! The location was amazing and the communication from our host/management was stellar. The unit was perfect for our family of three - 2 parents and a 9 year-old. It would easily accommodate a slightly bigger family comfortably too. A pleasant surprise was finding the on site restaurant back open - we ate there once and enjoyed it. The little cafe had great coffee drinks. We had rainy windy winter weather but watching the ocean from our beachfront spot was beautiful. And the pool and hot tub in the rain were still fun. Easy drive into town and to lovely sightseeing spots. Would definitely return, and have already recommended to another family.

Very remote, quiet, and listening to the waves while laying in bed was amazing. The place was a bit dated and could use some upgrades, but it was manageable. There is no AC, but the listing notes this and many places in the north of Kauai do not have AC, but this should be advertised with emphasis in the listing/title. Overall, great, fun little place to stay.

We loved the rustic, peaceful vibe of the colony after spending a few days each in Waikiki and Kapa'a. The property is as advertised, not new and shiny, no AC or TV... everything we wanted and needed. Open air, literally steps from the water on the second floor, cooling breeze, falling asleep listening to the waves. Check in info all received ahead of time. Best unit location!! The onsite laundry is by the pool where there is also a lovely large shaded seating area with two mega grill set ups including mini fridges for dining. Great set up once you find it, lol, dont just look at the little bridge, go Over it and to the right. Laundry coins available for purchase at the office. Everyone we encountered there were friendly. Tunnels beach is just down the way a bit with breath taking views and great snorkeling (in the summer). Go EARLY for parking! If you are going to Kauai, do not miss the north - get at least to Hanalei to see the real beauty! The roads are narrow, pace is refreshingly not hectic, MaiTai's at Tahiti Nui are omg, Holey Grail donuts are very good, The Terrace (upstairs) fabulous for dinner. NaPail Catamaran coast tour - exceptional!! NaPali coast speechless! Loved our time at Hanalei Colony.

This was a hard place to leave! The proximity to the ocean was amazing. Easy check in. Great communication. Clean and comfortable property. So easy to sleep with the ocean breeze and waves lulling us to sleep. Great access to the areas hiking and beaches. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you!

Great unit with a beautiful view & nice location far on the North shore. Nice to have a restaurant on site if you need a quick bite.

It's the perfect base for exploring the sights of the north and providing a relaxing retreat to return home to.

There's no better place on Kauai. Beach front- quiet- bike to tunnels and snorkel... the best. For the price especially during the holiday this is the place to stay. We sleep each night to the sound of the ocean and woke up to beautiful sunrises. Highly recommend.

Reviewer Comments: We started every morning with coffee at the table on the porch overlooking the ocean, and one morning we spent about 5 hours just sitting and reading our books. Every evening we returned to that spot to enjoy a cocktail. We loved hearing the ocean at night through the open windows as we fell asleep. It was a great getaway, and we very much enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful location on the beach, short drive into town and 20 minute walk to tunnels beach. Great view and place to stay.

No thrills but easy drives to hanalei Bay and Tunnels Beach. Our place was right on the water and could just listen to the waves all night! Can't get into the water at this location but we knew that beforehand.
