Bend, Oregon
This condo is Unit 114/115, A.K.A "Leaf Your Troubles Behind", It is part of the Pioneer Park Condominiums on the edge of downtown Bend, near the banks of the Deschutes River.
This condo is roughly 650 square feet, and will sleep 4 comfortably in the 2 separate sleeping areas. The master bedroom that features a king sized bed and has a communicating lockable door between the living room. The living room features a futon, which we suggest only be used by children, although adults are welcome to it as well.
Enjoy the ambiance of the fireplace on those chilly Bend nights. The fireplace not only gives a cozy feeling to the unit but also will heat up the unit just nice. There is an additional heater/ac combo that is available as well to heat up or cool down the room to your liking. You will also have access to wifi.
This unit is in the Pioneer Park Condominiums, a development originally intended to be a downtown hotel near the Deschutes River. Several decades ago the individuals and families who owned the units in this former "condotel" decided to change course and get out of the hotel business, converting their units into private residences and vacation units. Therefore the units here all have a very personalized environment, given that each unit has amenities and furnishings hand-picked by their individual owners.
Amazing location and very clean. Simple check in!
Close to downtown, a little bit of a walk (12 min.) but very easy.
The property was clean and ready. Location is great, walking distant to downtown. Everything worked reall nice. I will come back there next time.
Everything was fine , location is great
comfortable spot, right next to the deschutes river with some nice wading spots. 10m walk from downtown. Nice little kitchen and balcony with grill. Would recommend for a couple looking for a nice spot to explore bend
This was a great place to stay in Bend as it was within walking distance of town. Perfect size for the 3 of us.
Property was clean with all necessary amenities and close to downtown.
I wish I could be writing a glowing review. While the location is in walking distance to downtown Bend, trails and parks, that's pretty much all it has going for it. Yes, the kitchen has been updated and well stocked with dishware, but it is an old and worn property. The photos make it look nicer than it is, so we were disappointed by its condition. It's in need of maintenance as well as better cleaning. The tile floor was not clean when we entered, one bathtub still had soap scum on the sides near the base, one toilet had black running down the bowl from the water holes under the rim, one bathroom sink took a good 1.5-2 minutes to drain, one bath fan sounds like it needs service, toilet plungers are stored uncovered in the sink cabinets along with the hair dryer, extra TP and tissues (yuck!), one electrical outlet was missing an outlet and cover plate, one lamp was missing a lampshade, there were spots all over the black kitchen backsplash which may have been cleaner residue or just not cleaned properly, and the counters were quite streaked (again, may have been cleaner that was just left to dry after wiping), some furniture is quite worn. When we stripped the bed as requested in the checkout instructions, we were surprised to find no mattress pad over the mattress. Yuck! The unit above produces a great deal of noise from folks walking around as well as from the toilets and showers. Sadly, the unit is not comfortable and inviting, so we had little desire to spend any time in it. I will say that the management was great at communicating with us, which we appreciated. That said, it doesn't appear that walk-throughs are being conducted to monitor the condition of the unit, nor is housekeeping being proactive at passing on maintenance it requires.
Location is the highlight - property is right on the river, and walking distance to everything. Great AC units, spacious living area, and having two bathrooms was great. We’ll be back!
Was looking for a conveniently located rental for a long weekend to give me a change of scene and locale after 2 years of the pandemic. This location was what I was looking for - easy walking distance to downtown and park/water, and easy access to anywhere might do short drive to. Did have some moments of sketchy WiFi at the condo, but just a reminder I needed to unplug anyway. This remtal was really nice also that it was 2 adjoining units made into 1, so had 2 patios to sit in the sun to read with pots of tea. And loved the fireplace in the evenings.
