On the last night of my stay at 8:30 p.m.there was an overflow of water from the unit above that broke through the kitchen ceiling and lighting fixtures. Things were flooding and I was drenched gathering my personal items. The Management Company, Red Awning, provides no emergency number. The front desk closes at 8:00 p.m. While I was packing in the dark and worried about electrical fires, it took multiple calls to find someone to assist in finding me a safe unit. By the way, VRBO provides no support in an emergency either. At 11:00 p.m. after being insistent with Vail Resorts, another company involved in this property, I secured a room, and had a 10:00 a.m. checkout the next morning. The property removed the resort taxes from one day of my stay, hardly compensation for the disruption. They say they gave me a 'very nice room' for my trouble, which was not meaningful after having to leave all my food behind because it was not accessible in the flooded kitch- and to have to frantically pack up. I had to check out that morning at 10:00 a.m. The bottom line is that Red Awning cares more about collecting fees than providing services (such as an emergency number) and for making things right with a customer. I will make certain never to use a property managed by Red Awning and urge you to consider the impact of the company that manages the property you secure through VRBO. Kathy
