Lakeland Village #214 - Ski, Beach & Explore Tahoe

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall this was a great rental for the weekend. Clean and well laid out place an great location. Only issue was while sitting on the balcony Thursday night. The resident above was smoking pot, which is fine, they allow smoking on the balcony's here, but he then tossed his packaging down on us, continued to ash his cigarette onto our balcony and then tossed the butt down on us when he was finished. We found 5 by the time we checked out. We yelled up to him, but he had is radio/TV so loud he couldn't hear us. So we stopped hanging out there the rest of the weekend. I do not know if the unit above is a rental or resident, but we would not stay here again because of it.

Thank you to the owners, Stephan and Denise, as well as RNR for their prompt responses and assistance. I really appreciated the little details in the kitchen, such as the wrapped peppers, ziplock bags, and many other simple items that are especially helpful when traveling with kids. The little fireplace was cozy, which added to the comfort of the stay. The mattress wasn’t my preferred type, but I understand that preferences vary from person to person. Overall, I appreciate the cleanliness of the place.

This was our first time staying at Lakeland Village, and we were very happy with this unit. Parking was convenient and covered, and we were only a few minutes away from the California side of Heavenly. Inside, the rooms and amenities were just as described, and all the appliances that we used (stovetop, oven, microwave, toaster) worked well.The only hiccup that we encountered was that the layer supporting the sofa bed mattress was broken in a few places. As a result, the mattress sagged towards its bottom, enough so that our kids complained about it the first night. Luckily, we were able to simply take the mattress out and place it directly on the floor, and everyone slept well after that.Despite this hiccup, we enjoyed our stay at this unit in Lakeland Village so much so that we booked again for the following month!
