Kona Makai 1-301 DIRECT OCEANFRONT, TOP FLOOR, BEST CORNER IN KONA MAKAI!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It just doesn't get any better than this for oceanfront ..literally on top of it! Accurate description of convenient location to everything and pool, grounds/gardens are meticulously kept up. You likely won't find any other oceanfront complex with this much beautiful green space. Constant ocean breeze blowing through the unit making it comfortable even on the hottest days. Also constant surf noise which can be very loud at times so bring ear plugs if you need quiet for sleep in the master bedroom. We loved it. Well stocked kitchen, towels and linens. The reservation process and followup was excellent. Property manager was very responsive with any issues. We are returning for a third time next year and would highly recommend without hesitation!

Reviewer Comments: Unit needs some updating , rental cost going up year after year , but nothing new in the unit, also bathrooms had a musty smell this year. ( been coming here for years ) Second floor unit directly below was doing renovations, loud banging and drilling sounds, not peaceful.Also not happy about the difficulty of getting a 2 hour earlier check in , unit was vacated the day before, but not cleaned until the day of my arrival and also a last minute repair, both of which could have been done the day before. Response from rental company was : we have until 4 pm to get the unit ready , YES, i know that already , but when i asked if i could have early check in , they said they would do their best, so telling me that they have until 4 pm is skirting the issue. Lastly , no consideration for repeat customers.

Being close enough to walk to the starting line and events but far enough away to not have crowds along Al'i Drive. The family was about to stay at the condo most of the day and saw the runners several times along the course. The ocean views were incredible. No issues during the week long stay.

We will definitely be returning here... Every appointment you can imagine... oh, that lanai!! Amazing... The only thing = no AC in the main areas and the units in the bedrooms are a lil dated... but they do kinda work... But hey, you are in Hawaii! Enjoy!

Everything about this unit was absolutely wonderful. The property was lovely, the location was great, the management was easy to work with. And the unit itself was exceptionally clean and functional, not to mention the incredible view. We would highly recemmend this unit to anyone considering a visit to Kona.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful complex! This unit truly is the best. The view is stunning and we spent the majority of the time on the lanai. The complex is very conveniently located and secure/safe. There were plenty of beach items available for use including beach towels.

The condo is well stocked with everything we could need and was clean. It could use a bit of a refresh with paint and linens, but really we came for the view. We would definitely stay again!
