Kona Magic Sands#305:Top Floor,Direct Beachfront, Washer/Dryer in unit

The studio was perfect for us...the view was perfect and hearing the waves outside the window was incredible! Space was clean and very well stocked.

The hosts were excellent; checked in with me via phone and text upon arrival. The location, amenities and view are all spectacular.

Beautiful view! Comfortable bed, and appreciated the in-unit washer and dryer. Unit was well supplied with basic amenities (including laundry and dish soap) and stuff for beach activities (snorkeling, chairs, cooler, towels). Parking was convenient and location was easy for accessing wherever we wanted to go.Blackout curtains or some way to dampen the noise from outside would have been nice. I didn’t realize how loud the ocean is here! Next time we would bring earplugs and eye masks. The light from the in-room AC unit and microwave clock was surprisingly bright.The water heater in our room did not work, despite being set to 140 degrees. Showers were tepid, and led to some minor shivering. Management was notified, and responses were delayed (about 1 response per day). Minimal effort was made to resolve the issue while we were there (a text was sent to us, but when we responded, there was no additional communication). Hopefully they were just waiting until we left to check it out.

This is the fourth unit we’ve stayed in at Kona Magic Sands. We love the location next to the beach, perfect for us. The room could have been cleaner, especially the railing and slider door really need to have someone clean off the flies, windows could have been washed…weird that we pay a cleaning fee and we pretty much had to clean the room, wash towels, etc. other than that we had a great time!

Can't get any closer to the water than here. Area was quiet with a small beach nextdoor. Bed was comfortable, plenty of towels, great location. We'd stay here again

We arrived from the mainland tired and soon got into bed. The first thing I noticed was that sheets smelled bad. They were stinky!! I tried to go to sleep. I was so tired, but the smell kept me awake. I kept waking up to the smell. I decided to go to grocery the first thing in the morning and wash the sheets. Fortunately there was a washer and detergent there. When I removed the sheets, there was sand where the feet would be. My conclusion was that someone had been sleeping in those sheets! Disgusting!!!

It was our 45th anniversary! The unit was right on budget and located where it was central to our activities! Upon entering the unit the view will take your breath away, the sunsets are exquisite, the ocean breezes and the sound of the waves are phenomenal and constant, you will leave the doors open as we did continuously! Dawn and Tim were reachable at anytime & promptly replied on our inquiries. There were 2 pods of Dolphins that swam right in front of the lanai! What a site! If you love barbecuing they have a couple they were handy for the steaks! It’s fully equipped with appliances, linens, dishes and even beach chairs, we had a spectacular time, enjoy your time there! 5+ rating Tom & Deb (Canada)

We enjoyed our stay - the location is fantastic! Took the beach chairs to Magic Sands every morning. There are so many fish right outside the condo - you can see them in the wake! Snorkeling was magical. The condo itself had plenty of room for my husband and I. Bed comfy, well stocked and clean. Word of advice - you can’t rely on the Kona Trolly. It’s never on time. Rent a car or use Uber/Lyft. We would definitely love to come back!

the room was not as clean as expected. no hot water for shower. bed sheets did not fit bed.

Good sunset views. Fairly convenient location if you are driving. Older property with some upgrades. Must carry luggage to third floor. Well equipped kitchen
