Kitschy 1 Bedroom Oceanfront Condo with Free WiFi, Coastal Decor, and a Breathtaking View Located Uptown and Mere Steps from the Beach!

The property was ok. Someone should have indicated that “kitchy “ meant old and dated. The mattress was horrible. Like sleeping on a slab. The pillows were poor as well. Woke up every day with a neck and backache. The captains chairs in the dining area looked like they belonged there they are not meant for dining. We left a day ahead of schedule just to get a good nights sleep. The owner would do well to spend some money and update the place a little .

Overall a good place to stay - pricey though

Fantastic view. The place was nicer than the photos show. Beds pretty comfy. Negatives were dated kitchen appliances that were difficult to operate and having to drive 70 blocks to physically pick up and drop off a key rather than a door code or lock box. Not having an owner to deal with made it a bit more difficult if questions arose.

Property was very clean and well furnished. Short distance to everything you would need.

It was a working vacation for both my daughter and I, but it was absolutely lovely having the ocean as literally the background to my virtual meetings, great WiFi too. The place is adorable and comfortable, and the balcony is everything!! The kitchen is small, but workable and perfect for the kind of meals we make at the beach. We are definitely going to plan a future stay!

Location location location All we needed

Immediately felt at home. Ocean front balcony is the only way to fly. Amazing sunrise!

When we first walked in, it seemed clean. But as I started opening the closets to put our stuff, there were things, which I don't mind having there, but they just seemed like randomly thrown in there. I had to tidy up in order to find the space I needed. The kitchen had too much stuff in it, and things were hard to find. I did not feel like wanting to cook there, even though the reason why I wanted a place with a kitchen, was to be able to cook simple stuff. There was a confusing note about putting water in a white bucket above the dryer, but the reason and frequency for this was unknown. Therefore I also didn't feel like using the washer and dryer either. The furniture on the balkony was sticky and not very pleasant to sit on. On top of everything, the AC in the bedroom couldn't drop the temperature below 84 degrees. We slept uncovered and was sweating all nights. And it was too loud. We couldn't get a restfull sleep at all. Finally, the last night, there was a super loud noise coming from the ceiling in the master bathroom. I even saw the ceiling boards moving. There was no earthquake, I am pretty sure there was something/somebody crawling in there at 2:00 am. We had to drag furniture to lock the door, and still my eyes remained wide open till the rest of the night. It got me so scared. We would not go back to this place again.

It was a lovely stay with one exception: the dryer does not work. There is a sign on the dryer saying that the building as a whole cannot use their dryers. The listing deceptively gets around this by placing washer as one of the features of the unit but not dryer. An untrained eye would assume that the dryer was part of it. If I were staying with my children, this would've been a deal breaker. Since we often do loads of laundry on vacation. But since I only stayed a few days without kids, it was alright. I wouldn't return with children if there was not a working dryer.
