Guest Access:

You will receive a link to an online guest book when it gets close to your arrival date. You will receive the link by email and text. The home has an electronic lock at the bottom level where the cars are parked. A code will be generated into your guest book just before your arrival day.



The Neighborhood:

From Kiahuna Beach up Kiahuna Plantation Drive to the areas of Pili Mai, Kauanoe o Koloa, Wainani, and Kiahuna Village. Kiahuna Village is an association of homes around the Kiahuna Golf Course and Wainani`s single-family homes surround another part of the golf course. Poipu Shopping Village with free Hawaiian entertainment on Mondays and Thursdays at 5 pm and the Village Market every first and third Tuesday. Enjoy walking the Hapa Trail which will take you from the Poipu Beach Athletic Club to Koloa.



Getting Around:

When visiting Kauai, we highly recommend renting a car to enhance your experience and give you the freedom to explore the island at your own pace. While there are other transportation options available, such as the Kauai Bus, it's important to note that the bus service may not run as frequently as you might expect.



Having a rental car allows you to easily access all the incredible sights and attractions that Kauai has to offer. From the stunning Na Pali Coast to the breathtaking Waimea Canyon, having your own transportation gives you the flexibility to visit these iconic locations on your own schedule.

PESTS:

Kauai is in a climate that is considered to be both tropical and within a rainforest category, known for its lush flora and fauna.  The environmental factors create a situation where pests (insects) are nearly impossible to eradicate from every property constantly.  Many bugs fly in when a door is open at night or are simply small enough to come in through screens on windows and sliding doors.  For this reason, Koloa Kai engages regular quarterly pest control in every property to keep the pests at bay.  Despite these efforts, it is possible to have pests in your property, and if that happens, Koloa Kai will take all measures possible as quickly as possible to mitigate any issues.  Any monetary compensation, refunds or discounts will be given solely at the discretion of Koloa Kai and will only be available in situations where the company agrees that an infestation has occurred.  Koloa Kai reserves the right to investigate and provide remediation of any pest issue. The mere presence of pests in the property shall not constitute grounds for monetary compensation.



30-DAY MAXIMUM RENTALS:

Koloa Kai LLC provides only short-term rentals with a maximum reservation of 30 days.  Each reservation is fully documented and provides for a fixed date and time for check-in and check-out, rental rates, associated fees, and all other requirements required by local and state law.  If a guest books consecutive reservations where the check-out and check-in dates are concurrent, then a cleaning fee will be assessed, and a Koloa Kai designated cleaning professional/inspector will have unrestricted access to the property for the purposes of cleaning and inspection of the property.  During the time between reservations, described by the check-out time and check-in time specifically, the guests shall vacate the property so that the designated cleaning professional/inspector can conduct a full reservation clean and inspection in accordance with Koloa Kai’s standard practice.  Guest access to the property shall be restricted specifically to the date/times of the reservation documentation and may not be extended upon verbal or text message confirmation.

    Great flat with ocean view! Suitable for a couple or for a family of 4 (kids in sofa bed). Spacious, bright, has everything you need, including two body boards for some fun at the nearby beach. Lovely breakfast on the terrace overlooking the ocean, BBQ avalilable for all guests and nice dining space in the flat. The compound was amazing, quiet, grass and flowers all around very open and spacious, not crowded. There is an amazing beach and surf spot for beginners all walking distance (surf rental at the beach) and next to it a more advanced surfer spot. Access to the athletic club with a great pool and facilities. We already miss it and would strongly recommend it!!

    We love the Kiahuna! The view was nice, access to the beach was great! We used the pool for the first time on this trip. The pool is nice, although not close to the beach. It's a great place for families with kids. We would definitely stay here again!

    Absolutely loved this place! It was right by the parking lot, had an amazing view of the ocean, and was a short 4 minute walk to the beach. It had everything we needed. There was also a great little coffee truck right across the street. It was a great stay and I would definitely go back!

    The condo had a great view, kitchen very well equipped, the condo was well equipped and had all the beach toys, chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. The resort is beautiful, the flowers, beach, parking, laundry facilities and gas grills Location was great to access many areas on the island. Kauai is a slice of Heaven!! Communication w property manager was excellent. The condo NEEDS a new mattress - you sink a good 6 inches into the mattress. It seems like the owners just keep putting one foam pad on top of another and another but that does not solve the problem. The sofa is not in any condition to sleep on. Some closet doors do not open and the carpet needs to be replaced. We spoke w the property manager about the bed issue the first day, they were going to reach out to the owners, if they could not resolve the issue (get new mattress delivered that week) they were going to give us a discount for the week. For such a beautiful resort and price you pay to stay there, the bed is embarrassing. I'm sure Costco has great deals on new bed. Reminder there is NO AC, only bothered us a couple of nights. You also hear road noise.

    The condo was a good location but needs lots of wirk. the bedroom door does not shut on one side so no privacy, the rug is filthy and really should be replaced. the screen slider doesn’t work great either. the bed needs a new memory foam. it is really squishy and seems ancient. the couch hide-a bed is super old and is literally falling apart. the couch cushion is ripped on one cushion. also we had roaches 3 separate occasions. i know they are all over but super annoying. seemed pricey for the shape of the place. don’t get me wrong we had a great time dispute the condo condition
