Stayed Mar 19, 2026Our first time staying in Kīhei, we have stayed kanaapali before. The building is older, it was quite smelly in the bedroom I assume from the carpet. I don’t want to walk on the carpet it felt like it left a residue on my feet and grossed me out. I thought the bedroom smelled like smoke at first but then read a review where someone described it as urine and it kind of did. I am allergic to microfiber sheets and the host did bring us cotton sheets they went out to buy on the second day which was amazing. I still had watery eyes and congestion I assume from the pillows which were microfiber but the did go above and beyond to try and accommodate me. The runner and the rug also looked extremely dirty. I told my kids not to walk on top of them. Also, the Internet was extremely frustrating. We figured it out on our last day that we had to pull the TV away from the wall in the bedroom for the Wi-Fi to work. But it was also having issues if my son was on the tablet and I was on the bedroom TV it would lag. Honestly, the Wi-Fi and the smell of the bedroom were the worst parts. I don’t know if you just have to adjust your expectations when you’re staying in old Kihei. I think if they upgraded to vinyl planks in the bedroom, it would be a huge improvement and a good investment for the property.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969BBQ grills and pool were well executed options. Updated interior in the unit was great. I like to cook and one of the reasons we choose a condo rather than hotel is for the cooking aspect. Unfortunately, most condos are equipped with the basement level devices and equipment. This is the standard and the norm. I wish it was different. At what price point per night does a blender, toaster, chef knives, coffee maker get some sort of an upgrade in quality? Is it a theft issue or...?

Stayed Mar 9, 2026It was adequate. Seem like some of the usual extras were missing….place mats, coasters. Master BR a little tight for a king size bed.Boogie boards would have been a nice addition but given only one day of beach access due to the weather little opportunity for use.

Stayed Dec 27, 2025I don't consider this unit beach front. You can see the ocean from partially from the balcony but not from the unit.

Stayed May 19, 2025This is an exceptionally nice unit in the Kamaole Sands complex. The complex itself is beautiful, well maintained, and right across the street from a great beach park.

Stayed Mar 11, 2025Terrific location across from the Kihei beaches and very close to the Wailea beaches. The suite had most everything you would need, even beach chairs and an umbrella. There is a partial view of the ocean from the lanai and a nice view of the West side mountains, however there is a very noisy road directly below, so being on the lanai is not as pleasant as it would be facing the garden like the other buildings. The bedroom side is quiet though. If not for the street noise, it would have been a 5 star rating.

Stayed Nov 15, 2024Spent an amazing month in this lovely condo directly across from Kamaole Beach 3. Communication with host/management team was great with questions responded to quickly. Condo was very clean & spacious with a large lanai. Although it faces the road we ate dinner out there most nights & had views of the ocean. No boogie boards but beach chairs, umbrella & coolers were provided. You cannot beat the location as it’s right across from Kam 3. We like Kam 2 which took less than 5 more minutes to walk to. Many people gather at Kam 3 for the gorgeous sunsets. Easy walking distance to restaurants & shops. Short drive to Wailea for the mall or some beautiful quieter beaches. Only negative would be the roofing construction going on the whole time we were there but fortunately our building had already been completed. Kihei is our favourite place to stay and we would definitely stay at this condo again.
