Terrific property located on the beach and walking distance to shopping and food.

We reserved this condo from the deeded property owners through VRBO. We loved it here. This resort appears to be a renovated Embassy Suites hotel (that's my best guess) and I think they did a nice job with it. The rooms are spacious and set up just like an Embassy Suites with one large bedroom and a separate main living room. The couch in the living room is a sleeper sofa. Our room had a large refrigerator and microwave. We stocked up at Costco and had plenty of lunches and all breakfasts in the room. Beware of the check-in where you will be given a welcome gift (beach bag), asked about activities you may want to sign up for and also asked if you would like to sit in a time-share presentation in exchange for dollars or money toward an activity. No big deal, we said no and didn't feel undue pressure. The restaurant is pretty good and we had 2 dinners there. The snorkeling off the beach is fun as well with lots of reefs. However, you need to know that the beach is almost non-existent. It's like this in other places in this area as well. you kind of go from hotel to ocean. It's fine and didn't bother us as you can sit in a lounge chair at the hotel and view the ocean just as well. But, if you are the type that wants to lay at the beach all day you will be disappointed. The pool is large, had a waterfall sitting area, a small slide, and two hot tubs. One of the hot tubs is really large and my family loved it. They also have activities like ping pong, and my kids favorite, mini-golf! The mini-golf is a fun 18 hole course and free to guests. The staff was very friendly. We had an owners condo and we received a full room cleaning one time during our stay. I will warn you that the balcony outside is pretty narrow and you can meet your neighbors pretty easily as they are close together. Location is great. You can walk the boardwalk all the way down to the other hotels (Westin, Sheraton) and use their beaches if you like. We also spent a few days at Whalers Village which is about 2 miles away (the beach is great there and you can jump off a giant rock!). We took a snorkel tour from there as well as a dinner cruise. From the resort you can also walk to the food trucks that are just a few feet from the resort for a unique dinner. Overall, fun stay with the family and I recommend this place to families looking to have a great vacation, save some money by using the kitchen, and will venture out to other beaches for their sandy time.

I didn’t fully understand timeshare vs hotel vs resort when we rented... basically it’s a nice resort/hotel with a kitchenette. Best rented in week long blocks

The beach erosion project is still being worked on but knowing that going in made it fine. There are tons of beaches a quick walk or drive away! Pool/hot tub areas were great. Staff was amazing. Room was modern and comfortable. All in all great trip on Maui!!!
