I thought the pool area has not been maintained well. The gate leading to the beach had been broken. We waited for an hour for the cook to arrive to the tiki bar. While we were eating we noticed him pull a condiment from the frig and stick his finger in it then put it in his mouth. He continued to cook without washing. The next day we saw him sitting with his fingers in his mouth then got up to cook for someone. No washing of hands. We went elsewhere. He was the biggest complaint.

The inside of the property was clean and had all the amenities needed for a fun and relaxing stay. Nice view from the balcony. The pool area was well kept and there was a seasonal tiki bar/grill opened for snacks and drinks. Fantastic beach and not as crowded as hotel area. Golf cart was a great added convenience for getting around the resort area. Would definitely stay again.

My only complaint is the breaker to the charger for the golf cart kept tripping and the golf cart kept loosing charge. I hope you all get that fixed. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Westwinds is in a lovely location, directly on the beach and amongst lush landscape within the Sandestin property. The biggest plus is that this unit comes with the use of a 6 seater gold cart to navigate throughout the entire Sandestin Resort and the neighboring Grand Blvd shops and restaurants. You really don’t need a car. This unit needs some attention as there were quite a few issues. Dresser drawer front hanging off, kitchen cabinet door hanging, screen on balcony door almost totally ripped off, golf cart no longer had an operating radio nor backup camera and had a huge area of paint missing. We opted to report these issues but not have them addressed during our stay. Personally I book units that are aesthetically pleasing to my eye so having these noticeable issues still in disrepair is less than admirable. Definitely would book this unit for a 3rd time feeling more than confident these issues will have been remedied by next summer. Again, great place, great views, great pool and we were so thankful for the golf cart !!

The chest strap hurt our necks really bad. The views are breathtaking from the condo. It was so nice to be oceanfront and have the fabulous pool.

There were a few things that could be updated like master bedroom mattress, unfortunately it was very uncomfy and woke up with back pain. The golf cart is a wonderful addition, but could really use some TLC. Only other complaint were the screen doors to the balcony. We would have loved to been able to use them, especially the one in the bedroom, but the day we got it, we noticed they weren’t even on the tracks, oh well. Again this was a beautiful stay, with minor updates, it would be all round five stars. My family has been visiting Sandestin Beach Resort for 4 years now, and we love the area/location. This was the first time we splurged for the beach side, and so glad we did!

The location was beautiful and we had great views from every window. The best part was having a golf cart to see the resort. We only used our vehicle once during our stay because we had the golf cart. We were able to drive the golf cart around the resort, to restaurants near by, and to Baytowne Wharf every night. There was a couple of things that were broken in the condo that need fixing. For example, a dresser, a kitchen cabinet door, and a couple of beach chairs. The golf cart had some paint damage on the side but no big deal. I contacted the management company to let them know so that I would not be charged for the damages and they responded quickly. They were wonderful and very professional. This did not keep us from having a great time. We will definitely be back to this condo and resort for a longer stay next time.
