Jekyll Island restful beach retreat

The host was quick to respond and very helpful. The condo was clean and comfortable. The resort facilities were great. Great area for families. We will definitely come back and stay here again.

We were able to check in a little early which was nice.. the front desk was quick and easy. The unit definitely needs a deep clean, air vents and window seals were filthy. We found chip and poptart crumbs in the kitchen. The floors wiped up dirty. The master bed is not comfortable at all but the other beds were fine. We lost power for a good bit the first night due to a big storm and we’re weren’t really prepared for that being our first night. Overall it was fine..my biggest complaint was the cleanliness. The unit is 2nd story, about 2 miles to the closest beach access. We did ride bikes to/from beach along side of road. Beach access was not accessible but it looked like it was in progress. We walked to driftwood one morning, so that was a bonus. We usually stay at hotels at Jekyll but we needed 3 bedrooms- so this was a change. We did use the pool and laundry facilities. The pool was nice. They provide pool towels at the pool. The washer and dryer were good- you will need quarters. The dryer drys HOT! Basics were provided (trash bags, bar soap, sponge, dish/washer soap, paper towels) it was enough for our 2 night stay. No spices thankfully I brought some! Prior to our stay I contacted the property owner with a question and he responded right away.

Most Vrbo I have stayed in had minor kitchen supplies like salt and pepper. This was more like a hotel with a kitchen and than would be nice to know in advance. We had to wash all the pans, glasses etc. before using. The listing had checkout at 12 and the front desk was insisting on 11. Best part was walking distance to Driftwood beach.

We had a good stay. Check in took longer than usual for VRBO because I had to go through their front desk. Then they were saying I had an outstanding balance even though it had been paid much earlier. Generally the owner sends a door code.

This was our first time on Jekyll Island, and found the accommodations and host to be top notch. There were 6 of us, and condo had ample room. The folks at Villas By the Sea were also very helpful. Though we didn't know it when we booked this place, it's very close to Driftwood Beach, which we visited a few times. A good time was had by all.

The Unit was clean and nice accommodation for our family weekend. We would recommend this unit. Recommend replacing the shower heads and need more than one trash bag for the unit.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Everything was as advertised. Would stay here again.
