Island Winds West 374 - 2 Bedroom Gulf Front Condo

Checkin was easy at the front office, luggage carts made for an easy unpacking of the car and the condo was exactly as i wanted! Right on the ocean, easy access to the pier and beautiful view!

The location of the property is ideal, walk right out to the beautiful beach, and walk to a few restaurants and shops. As far as the unit, it is pretty close to the pictures, but in reality, there is a lot of wear and tear (door off hinges in one room, refrigerator showing wear, couch very worn). Surprisingly, no amenities such as beach towels or beach toys (had to bring your own). Now, to cleanliness. The floors and air vents were disgusting. Our feet were filthy from simply walking in the condo, even though the condo was supposedly clean when we arrived. The air vents have obviously not been cleaned in a while, visible dust and lint in them all. For the amount we were paying, I would have expected better. Also, it was very annoying to folliw the rules to the letter, when obviously other guests did not (to include smoking - all kinds of products - on the balconies, towels hanging over the balconies and kids running around pounding on doors...no sign of accountability by security. Our vacation was great thankfully, but that was because we tried to overlook all of these issues....will we stay here again, no, probably not.

Overall loved having a condo right on the ocean. However when we arrived the cleanliness of the unit was not what we expected with a used soap bar on the bathroom floor and hair on the floor. For paying a large cleaning fee at the end of the visit I would have expected the unit to feel a bit more clean. Not worth the money we spent other than the location.
