You are truly spoiled for choice with all the wineries, restaurants and wine shops you can walk to from TorreBarolo. As it is a tower, please note you must use stairs to go between the different floors, however, it is worth it as you get amazing views and privacy as you enjoy 360 degree views of the village and surrounding hills from the magnificent rooftop terrace.

In 2014, the Langhe was appointed a UNESCO Heritage location and Barolo is the perfect location to tour many of the most scenic and noteworthy wine producing hill top towns such as La Morra and Monforte D'Alba. Alba is a 15 min drive and there you can enjoy walking down the charming cobble stone pedestrian streets discovering unique stores and coffee bars or dining in a Michelin star restaurants. At the end of the day, head back to the roof terrace to sip some wine and slice up the local salumi and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the area.

The property offers you 3 levels of living space and stone stairs must be climbed to go between each of the 3 levels. If you are not comfortable climbing stairs, this might not be the right property for you.

NB: The only bathrooms are ensuite to the bedrooms and located one floor below the living room/kitchen. There is no washer/dryer at the property. Parking is not private (narrow streets) but located in an un-metered/large parking lot a few minute walk from TorreBarlo.

LEVEL ONE: Both bedrooms are on the same level but are not adjacent so and they provide privacy for the occupants.

PRIMARY BEDROOM: Upon entering the property (which is up 3 small flights of stairs from the courtyard), you turn left up 2 small flight of stairs to access the primary bedroom. There is a beautiful view through the windows and french doors to the vineyards. Via the french doors you access a balcony that overlooks the cobblestone communal courtyard. This room sleeps 2. There is a Queen size bed, small free standing wardrobe (not closet) , and there is an ensuite bathroom with a narrow shower, bidet, a toilet and a sink. PLEASE NOTE: There is NO Air conditioning in the primary bedroom.

SECONDARY BEDROOM: Upon entering the property (up 3 small flights of stairs), you turn right up one small flight of stairs, but the opposite direction of the primary bedroom, is the secondary bedroom with 2 twin beds that 99% of the time are put together but can be separated on request. There is a large closet and standing full length mirror. There is a small ensuite bathroom with small/narrow shower, sink, bidet and toilet. This room DOES have air-conditioning wall unit.

There is a large air-conditioning wall unit in the living room/kitchen.

3rd FLOOR - ROOF TERRACE: This is the most breathtaking feature of the tower. During your stay you will have exclusive use of the roof terrace that consists of comfortable outdoor furniture and an umbrella to shield the sun on warm summer days. Steep stair to go up and down to the roof terrace.

Closest airports: Turin, Genoa and Milan. Barolo is 20 min off the A6 Autostrada which within 1 hour you can reach the beaches of the Italian Riviera while the mountains on the border with France are about a 90 minute drive to the west.

Many sports can be enjoyed in the Langhe. Golf, tennis, hiking and swimming. The photo of the pool is a public municipal pool located in Monforte d'Alba that is 10 min from Barolo. For 12 euros you have access to a pool, umbrella, lounge chairs and there is both a bar and restaurant. It is a wonderful place to spend a lazy day. Megan our host was very communicative and addressed any issues quickly and thoroughly- the views are amazing and there are some great hikes right out the door. Piemonte food and wine are great to experience in this tranquil and peaceful setting. Highly recommend!!

This is a lovely and quirky apartment in the center of Barolo a small village is the Piedmont region. Barolo is all about wine and the location is superb for both exploring the town of Barolo and a 10 minute drive to La Morra. The views from the apartment are breathtaking. The apartment is all about the stairs. Down to the bedroom and up to the living room and up again to the beautiful patio. Don’t let the stairs deter you, worth every step and a good way to stay in shape while you are experiencing the local dining and wine tasting.

Torre Barolo is a very unique property. Centrally located in the heart of the charming town of Barolo. It offers a panoramic view of the gorgeous countryside from every window and a spectacular roof top terrace. Clean and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. Be mindful that there are four different levels connected by stairs. We found it to be a perfect base for exploring the Langhe wine region.

Great location but would have appreciated clearer disclosure of the number of stairways that had to be navigated. It can be an issue for older folks with luggage.

We loved our 4-day stay at the Torre Barolo. It was the perfect base for exploring the area, and the apartment itself had everything we needed. It was very clean and comfortable and the best part was the incredible balcony on the roof overlooking the town and the valley below. It made a lovely spot to enjoy a bottle of wine at the end of the day. All of our communication with the host was very easy, and she went out of her way to make suggestions to help us get he most of our visit. We would highly recommend this property!

Lovely spot, exactly as pictured. On 3 levels, lots of stone steps - from Main Living area to the loo is 34 steps each way! Plan your trip between levels!

It is hard to find the right words for this property - it is truly unique as it is built inside a tower in the central part of a lovely very old village. Everything is on different levels and if you have been doing your stair or elliptical machine at the gym you will be ready for living here! You might get tired of the stairs, but you will never get tired of looking out the living rom/kitchen level or from the top deck. The hills surrounding the village are really beautiful and lend a sense of calm and quiet to the property. And speaking of quiet...this is really a quiet rental... at least the off season week that we spent here. We we noticed that there is no car traffic and very little outside noise — it is QUIET ! Everything works in the rental, but be aware the shower is a bit on the small side — I am 6’2”, 210 and it was a bit of a squeeze. This is NOT uncommon in older towns (we have the same thing in our upstairs bedroom in an old city in France). Barolo is a good point for jumping off in the region — you are less than 20 minutes from a lot of good wine, great places to eat and fun castles/churches to explore.... Parking in the town was easy (it was April) and the walk to the house short. Megan and Robbie were very responsive at every step of the way — they are good people to do business with.

Stayed at this property with my wife the second week of October 2018 and we were thoroughly impressed with the place and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is in the heart of the commune of Barolo and can walk to everything in the village. There is free parking maybe five hundred yards from the apartment so very convenient. The layout is tower style so you need to walk a couple of flights of steps from the courtyard to the front door, then accordingly to the bed room (which was a nice size along with an adjoining bathroom) and likewise to the living area and kitchen and finally to the rooftop patio. The rooftop patio is worth the price of admission in itself. The views of Barolo and the surround area are breathtaking on a sunny day! Borgogno is a winery who's tasting room and it's own rooftop patio is literally next door and this apartments patio OVERLOOKS theirs! There were more than just a few stares of envy from patrons there as they shared that patio with 40+ and it just me and my wife on this one! SerraLunga D'alba, Cannubi, La Morra and Monforte D'alba are short drives away for real Barolo wine lovers as is Barbaresco and day trips to Alba and Torino (Turin) are convenient as well. There are some really nice restaurants in the commune of Barolo including Barolo Rosso where we ate our last evening (try the stuffed onion and stuffed peppers if you go and the chocolate cake is to die for) and enoteca's where the wines of the area are featured. The apartment is in live in condition and has WiFi and the other essentials needed. If given the opportunity, we will stay here again in the future!

We very much enjoyed our week in Torre Barolo during the first week of October. The weather was very good, morning hikes to the surrounding hill towns and well located for afternoons to Treiso, Alba, Guarene, Saluzzo, Manta, Monforte d'Alba, Dogliani. Check in and out was very easy and parking in the town's parking lot was no challenge. Highly recommend for active travelers.
