Ilima Suite at The Ilikai | Short Stroll to Beach!

!!!DO NOT BOOK!!! Actual property is almost uninhabitable. DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PHOTOS!! Mold on the drapes, drapes are non functional/torn. Furniture is garbage/stained. Fans/lights don’t work. Many repairs needed. This is a completely neglected property. I cannot believe it is being offered for rent. Unlock code was not provided at check in. I had to call multiple times and beg for it. Completely ridiculous. Worst travel experience of my life, but was non refundable. Photos were provided to the listing company. My family and I had a fantastic stay at the Ilima Suite in The Ilikai. The condo was exactly as described – spacious, clean, and comfortable, with breathtaking ocean views from every room. Waking up to see the surf and enjoying sunsets made our trip incredibly memorable. The location is hard to beat. We loved being close to the action of Waikiki while still in a slightly quieter spot; it was the perfect base for exploring Honolulu. The condo was fresh and clean upon our arrival. The condo is well-appointed and felt like a home away from home. We were three adults, and the two bedrooms and two bathrooms gave everyone plenty of space and privacy. The living area was spacious with a big sofa and table for 6. Although we did not cook, we appreciated the fully equipped kitchen as it allowed us to have coffee and snacks in the condo. There are a few restaurants and a convenience store right in the building lobby as well as Dukes Lagoon for surfing lessons and board rental. Duke’s service and pricing were outstanding! There are several ABC Stores close by which made it easy to grab a quick bite or last-minute items. Communication and check-in were smooth and professional. This property is managed by a local company (Grand Welcome Vacation Rentals), and they sent us detailed instructions ahead of time. The check-in process was effortless. Getting into the condo was no problem at all with the key code and clear directions provided. Having a key code is nice that you do

Stayed with our family of 6. Pros: great location within walking distance to beach, stores and waikiki area about 20min or bus stop is a few min away. Kitchen was decently equipped.Cons: as soon as we walked in the place was not as bright as the photos let on. It was musty and grimmy. The walls and doors are dirty, the furniture and beds are all worn (definetly not new as ad stated), the curtains were all torn. The place definetly shows its age, its a very old building. I suppose when comparing relative prices to other places in the area its kind of expected but still very expensive.

Renting this unit was very disappointingOnline pictures looked good but when you see the unit in person it’s a complete mess Look at the photos and decide for yourself if want your family to stay in this shabby shack For this kind of money you can find much better accommodations

I stayed at this property from May 19–29 and it was a complete disaster from the moment I arrived. The condo looks nothing like the photos on Vrbo. The furnishings are outdated and worn, and there was visible mold growing on the curtains—a serious health hazard. The unit was also unclean and clearly not maintained.I contacted the property management immediately, sent photos, and asked for a resolution. They told me the issue would be escalated to higher management—and then I never heard a word back. No apology. No follow-up. No solution. We were stuck for 10 nights in a place that felt dirty, unsafe, and absolutely not as advertised.This rental is blatant false advertising, and the total lack of accountability from the host or property manager is unacceptable. I would never book here again and strongly warn others to avoid this listing and this host entirely.

The space is pretty large, it worked well for 2 small families. Great location close to alot of places to eat, shop and walking distance to a beach. The room itself could use some help. The shower curtain the bathroom is moldy, there is no locks on the sliders (a bit of a safety hazard for us with toddlers), there's a hole in the wall where an outlet once was so no where to plug anything in in the bedroom. Lots of little things like that. No remote for the fan in the bedroom to turn on the light/adjust the fan. It just feels like there are renovations that never got done. Also the parking costs in the post should be updated. The valet cost is actually $45/day and the lot nearby is $28/day. I liked the area but Im not sure id stay at this condo again since there are so many good options nearby.

This was a truly beautiful view from every window. The property was clean and accurately described. Although there is some deferred maintenance that should be addressed, overall, the property is in good condition. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Was a perfect place for our family of 5. Clean, spacious, great view, and perfect location. Amenities and everything that was in the place for us to use was so convenient. We would definitely stay here again.
