Welcome to the Lighthouse! If you are looking for a relaxing, beautifully decorated, vacation destination with all the amenities, and the LARGEST FLOOR PLAN you have arrived. The living area, kitchen, master bedroom, and one of the additional bedrooms have panoramic, gulf front views through walls of floor to ceiling windows. That’s right - this condominium has TWO GULF FRONT BEDROOMS! This floor plan is the largest 3 bedroom layout in the complex with 1547 square feet of living spaceand an 85 FOOT BALCONY. Sleeps 6.

The Lighthouse complex offers the best amenities in Gulf Shores. Our unit includes all developer upgrades featuring tile floors throughout, granite counter tops in the kitchen and baths, and an upgraded stainless steel kitchen appliance package. Our condominium is located on the 6th floor and has incredible, unobstructed eastern, southern and western views of the beach from the oversized, wraparound balcony.

This unit is regularly updated and well maintained for the rental market because the owners (and their friends/family) use it 5-6 months of the year themselves. This it is more of a second home than a traditional rental property. Recent upgrades for 2021 include new mattresses in two bedrooms, new living room furniture, new patio furniture, and fresh paint. The Master Suite is truly luxurious and has a wall of floor to ceiling windows providing an incredible view of the beach. It has a king-size pillow top bed, 32' HDTV, and a sliding glass door that opens to the balcony. The private master bathroom features a his and her vanity, large walk-in closet, large jetted whirlpool garden tub, and separate shower.

The remaining two bedrooms feature queen-size, pillow top beds with private full bathrooms. Each of these bedrooms is equipped with a 24' HDTV. Remember, one of these bedrooms is gulf front.

The Living Area also has unparalleled views overlooking the beach with access to the balcony. A 50' HDTV and Blu-Ray player are provided in the living room along with a sofa, two chairs, and a lazyboy recliner. The adjacent dining room has a large table with seating for six, or you can enjoy dining on the balcony at a bar height table that seats two.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, stove, side by side refrigerator/freezer with in door ice/water dispenser, toaster, blender, coffee maker and Keurig, mixer, and a breakfast bar with seating for four. Plenty of cabinets offer ample storage space for food and supplies. All utensils and dishware are furnished. Adjacent to the kitchen is a large laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer with iron, ironing board and vacuum. Free local telephone service is included along with a high speed Internet connection with free unlimited use.

The Lighthouse is located directly on the Gulf of Mexico in the heart of Gulf Shores, Alabama and is near entertainment, restaurants, and shopping including grocery stores. Every amenity that you can imagine is here for you including: 2 outdoor pools (one lap pool and one zero entry pool that's great for the kids), an indoor heated pool, 2 hot tubs, exercise room, sauna and 635 feet of beachfront.

The Lighthouse condominium building is located on Highway 182 (455 East Beach Blvd.), approximately 0.7 mile east of Highway 59. Approximate drive times are as follows: Pensacola, FL (0:50 hr), Mobile, AL (1:15 hrs), New Orleans, LA (4:00 hrs), Jackson, MS (6:00 hrs), Birmingham, AL (5:00 hrs), Atlanta, GA (6:30 hrs), Nashville, TN (6:45 hrs).

Notice: This property is only available here through the VRBO/HomeAway family of websites. Unit completely restored after Hurricane Sally. Overall complex is still a construction zone with noise and minor inconveniences expected through July 2022.

    We had a wonderful time in this unit. It was exactly as pictured. The kitchen especially was very well appointed. There were only 3 of us staying here. We like extra room when we travel. The balcony was the highlight. So expansive. Note that there is only a bistro table with two high chairs and two swivel chairs. Not enough space for a meal outside. During our week the elevator closet to our unit was broken most of the week but there were several others to use so it wasn’t that big a problem. We all enjoyed the two pools daily. Lastly Martin our host was very responsive to all of our questions during the rental process.

    We had a great vacation in Gulf Shores! This unit was just as it was described. And the owners responded immediately to any questions. The only thing I would suggest is new pillows, as they all seem to be pretty flat. I know everyone’s preferences are different when it comes to pillows and many pack their own (we just choose not to pack ours). We were happy with the elevators being in multiple locations which helped a bit with the busy times, like check in day, and when rain hit and it was a mass exodus from the beach, LOL. We parked on the top level of the parking garage, which is the 3rd floor and then had quick access to this 6th floor unit. And it wasn’t an issue even to take the steps if you didn’t have a load to carry. And there seemed to be PLENTY of carts when it came to unloading and loading your vehicle!! We have been coming to the Gulf Shores area since the 90’s with our children and now our grandchildren. It’s crazy how much it’s changed!!! We have stayed most often on the Orange Beach end, but we always seemed to end up in Gulf Shores for supper and evening entertainment. So this time we stayed close to the Hwy 59 intersection. Be prepared for the traffic (we tend to go out early to eat and not quite so bad early). But definitely bring your patience and don’t be in a hurry?.     This property was very clean, better stocked than most vacation condos, wraparound deck with two bedrooms oceanfront. Marty kept us well informed during the booking process from start to finish. We would book again for sure!

    We absolutely loved our stay at lighthouse 601! The condo was well stocked with everything you could possibly need and there are plenty of stores nearby to pick up anything you can’t find! The views from the balcony were stunning. We weren’t sure at first if we would be able to make it with Ida coming in, but communication with Marty was very quick and he was so helpful with any questions we had. Overall I would definitely recommend this condo and owner, both are fantastic!

    The property was exceptional. The unit itself was well equipped with everything we could ask for. Ease of access to the beach and to the many Restaurants and Venues. We had a great time, the weather was great. We did have a lot of seaweed going on this week but otherwise good. Only recommendation we may possibly have is suggestion of newer mattresses and/or creeky beds in the unit; otherwise exceptional! Would definitely recommend this unit and would consider it again.
