Stayed Jan 19, 2026We loved our stay at the Howellson. Location was great, right in the center of historic steamboat Springs, close to great restaurants and all the shopping. The unit itself was really really nice, large windows, a lot of comfortable seating, great big TV, and the bed was awesome.

Stayed Jan 6, 2026All was great. Very clean. Directions very clear. Slight leak with the kitchen sink tap. Had to jiggle it to get it not to drip. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed Jul 31, 2025Such a great spot if you want to be close to the river and downtown. And the BEST thing about this place is that it has air conditioning! You can visit the Farmer's Market ( which was right out the front door, tube on the Yampa River (also right outside the front door) and it's a short walk to the Rodeo & the alpine slide (which I'm not sure was in use?). Parking seems a little sketchy, BUT IT ISN'T! My Lexus 550 fit just fine and there was an extended cab pick up parked next to us ( just pull your mirrors in and you're good to go). The only daunting process was the number of doors to navigate from the parking garage to the actual unit…which is clearly communicated. All you need is provided and our only “issue” was that the batteries were dead for the TV remote controller in the living area.

Stayed Feb 23, 2025Another wonderful stay with Steamboat Lodging! Howelsen Place is perfectly situated in downtown Steamboat with easy access to the mountain. The unit was just the right size for two and was filled with all necessary amenities to make the stay comfortable. Highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Stayed Jan 10, 2025Toilet foundation is loose. It needs to be reattached securely to the floor. Washing Machine was not dried properly and mold was seen and needed to be cleaned prior to washing clothes.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My son and I loved our stay at Howelsen 201A. It was a one bedroom with a sleeper sofa. The location could not be any better. Great shops and restaurants right outside your door. Don't miss the Farmer's Market on Saturdays. The condo have a small deck - still nice to sit outside. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need. We did use the air conditioning and we were glad we had it - it was pretty hot outside. The bed and pillows were so comfortable in the bedroom. I called Steamboat Lodging to see where I could get the pillows and they quickly contacted the owner and was able to send me a link to purchase them on Amazon. The bed does take up most of the bedroom which was fine except I kept running into the frame of the bed as it stook out passed the bed. After running into it three times, I finally remembered to take a wide turn around the frame. Steamboat Loding Co was very prompt, communication was outstanding and would absolutely recommend them highly as well as this property. Thank you all!
