We have fully renovated the unit as of December 2013, and decorated it in a Hawaiian motif. We've installed new all wood cherry kitchen cabinets, granite counter tops, appliances, and kitchen utensils. Along with new paint throughout the condo. Both bathrooms have been upgraded along with most of the furnishings.

The Condo is on the second floor easily cooled by the trade winds, it's quite private tucked away in the corner of the resort in building #8 apartment 202. The condo is spacious at 818 sq ft and the lanai is 166 sq ft, the majority of lanai's in Kamaole Sands are only 69 sq ft. It is away from the noise of the inner court and South Kihei Road. We're at the east end of the building, very close to the stairs and far enough away from the elevator so you are not disturbed by anyone coming or going. Your assigned parking spot is nearby.

The unit has free WiFi, cable TV, a blue ray player, and CD/FM stereo for entertainment, along with a lending library of books and games. It's fully furnished with a 52 inch ceiling fan and A/C in the living/dining area.

The bedroom has a queen size mattress (new in March 2021), portable air conditioner to keep you cool at night, along with a 52 inch ceiling fan, 28 inch flat screen TV, and a safe for your valuables. The fully upgraded master bath has new cabinets with granite top, and a full tub/shower.

There is beach friendly tile throughout the condo, the living area has A/C as well, a new sofa sleeper, 50 inch LCD flat screen TV, cable TV, and a CD/FM stereo.

The guest bathroom has a new glass shower enclosure, new cabinets with granite top and the washer/dryer nearby.

The bright kitchen is newly renovated with all wood cherry cabinets, granite counter tops, and a large island with bar stools. It's equipped with new appliances, range, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, many cooking utensils, and other accessories along with a variety of spices, etc. The outdoor barbecues are just a short walk away. The dining area is well lit and has a new rattan dining set.

The condo has a large private lanai, 166 sq. ft. which easily accommodates 4 or more people, the majority of lanais in Kamaole Sands are only 69 sq. ft. From the lanai you get a view of the volcano Haleakela and a peek-a-boo view if the ocean. It's a perfect place to enjoy a great cup of Hawaiian coffee in the morning or to enjoy the afternoon sun. The lanai easily accommodates a family of 4+ for meals and has a cabinet stocked with beach chairs, umbrella, mats, coolers, and kids toys for your use during your time at Kamaole 3 beach just a three to four minute walk from your condo door. Unfortunately due to liability issues we are unable to supply any water-sport gear.

A one weeks supply of laundry, and dish washer soap is provided along with toilet paper, when this runs out you are responsible to provide your own.

If you decide to stay remember the morning information session by the pool after you arrive, and the Mai Tai party on Wednesday's from 3-4:45 pm.

    The grounds are geeat and right across from Kamaole Beach 3. The hosts were easily accesible when we needed some help getting into the condo. The kitchen was well stocked, and we appreciated and used the beach chairs, umbrella, and beach toys almost daily. One thing we wished was better was an upgrade to the TV which is not a smart TV and there was no access to the mentioned mo ie collection and althought the lanai is larger, the view is of the condos across rhe way. ac

    We've stayed at this condo before and enjoyed it again for a month-long stay. Had everything we needed. Newly added bedroom a/c was an extra convenience for napping at a hot time of day.

    The condo was very nice but the resort amenities were amazing! Lush landscaping, lovely pool and clean gym. So close to the beach. We had everything we needed!

    beautiful apartment, excellently equipped with everything you need. Unfortunately, the sofa is very old and after 10 nights our backs were completely destroyed. The AC in the living room very noisy, but luckily we didn't have to use it. Great access to the beach.

    This condo is very nicely maintained with quality remodel features (granite, stainless appliance, comfortable bed). We stayed for one month, and had everything we needed. We've stayed at several other units within KamSands and especially liked the quieter relaxed location of Building 8. We hope to return.

    As advertised and expected. Building 8 is upper most and along a road separating this location from another condo complex to the South. If you’re wanting something closer to the pool then other buildings (2, 3, 4,, etc) may be more to your liking. (We spend ALL day either at the beach or doing activities so are pretty much using it for meals and sleeping.) This unit is well appointed but there are some aspects which could be improved. The bedroom faces East so without blockout curtains some may need an eye mask for the 5AM sunrise. The windows in that same room also face the smoking area and depending on the direction of the breeze the smell of cigarettes can be annoying if the windows are open. Lacking AC in that room you really need to keep them open to keep a breeze moving through the condo. On the other end of the unit (living/dining room and kitchen) there’s a security light out on the lanai which is moving detecting. As such, it goes on and off every 10-15 seconds throughout the night. No biggee unless you’re also using the hideaway bed in the sofa. Again, blockout curtains would be a nice addition. Without them most would need to go with the eye mask routine. All in all, a good place and fairly priced.
