Holiday Getaway in the Mountains

Poor communication from management when concerns of garbage in room, odor and sticky floor from garbage raised

This property though it was a great location to get to the ski resort, it felt very dirty, Oder wasn’t pleasant. The wifi didn’t work, most of the outlets didn’t work, kitchen didn’t have what was needed to cook a simple breakfast, cracked plates, things that seemed to be from previous tenants which takes me back to cleanliness, you have to take your trash which is perfectly fine but no trash bags are provided. So it would have been good to know that in advance so we could bring out own. Lastly the parking was pretty bad. If you didn’t make it in time before everyone came back in, there was no place to park. If you will be out and about the whole time, then none of this may bother you, but we had kids that had to nap so we had to come back and forth.

Great little place with easy access to Beech MtnnSki resort. Went to the Land of Oz festival and the condo was very convenient. Management company called to make sure all was ok and see if we needed anything else.

We are homeowners at Beech Mtn, but we had a few extra folks in town for the weekend. The Holiday Getaway was conveniently located, reasonably priced, and perfect for our son and his girlfriend. One small criticism is communication. Our son accidentally left one of his uniform shirts behind. It took 3 emails and 2 phone calls to find someone who could tell us where to pick it up.

Our room was clean with more things furnished than we imagined. Plenty of area to walk the dogs. Parking is a bit cramped but I noticed that everywhere. The only downside I found at all was that we didn’t have a pass to show the attendant at the dump for our trash but, he understood and took our trash anyway.

Lovely weekend with my daughters. Weather was beautiful and we were close to the town of Beech.

The unit was great, we stayed on the mountain, we walked to the ski resort five out of seven days. It was amazing, thank you to Carolina Cabin rental for making the stay and rental stress free. We rent again from this owner.

Very nice place the only thing I was concerned about was the parking. There were a couple signs warning of being towed if you weren’t staying there, but we didn’t have a parking pass or anything so I was worried about being towed and because it was Xmas there was no one to answer my question. We didn’t have a problem but would’ve been nice to be reassured. Other than that it was fine

The condo was great, location to the ski resort was very convenient. The only change needed was there was only one towel set per person for the three day stay, you should provide one set per day !!!

Carolina Cabin Rentals is very responsive. I would, without hesitation, rent another one of their properties again. — This property is fine for two days, maybe three. We are very familiar with Beech Mountain having owned there for years. The pros: convenient location; end unit of the building; nice towels!. The cons: parking is down the road; road noise; RESPONSIBILITY OF DISPOSAL OF YOUR BAGGED GARBAGE/TRASH! Beech Mountain has changed their garbage/trash disposal rules. You may NOT take your garbage/trash to the Beech Mountain “Convenience” Center as noted on the refrigerator or in the information provided. The rental company/owner needs to figure this out for future renters because most people will not be able to find the Avery County Trash Dump off NC 105 much less want to haul their trash there.

Location on the mountain is great. The condo is older, however the floors have been updated and the king size bed was very comfortable (both the mattress & the bedding). The bathroom heater was wonderful and the shower/bathtub were nice. The pull out couch bed was terrible for sleeping on. There is signage in the studio to take trash to community drop off but the closest drop off requires a pass to throw away household garbage. The owner did not leave one for us to use. There is apparently one further away that does not require a pass but we stayed for 6 days and so that was an inconvenience. You can purchase a temporary pass from Freds if you would like. If you use the oven, cook at a lower temp than normally required and for less time, the unit is undersized and we learned the hard way it doesn't cook the same as a regular unit. The floors are not level in the unit (bathroom and kitchen noticeably higher). No dishwasher in the unit.
