Highly Desired Sherwin 2 BR Oceanfront - Vacation in Comfort and luxury 602

The unit was very nice. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Loved the leather couch/loveseat recliners. The master bedroom was very spacious and the master bath was huge. We never utilized the second bedroom but used the second bath room which was also very nice. The kitchen was beautiful with all stainless-steel appliances. There was an issue with the kitchen oven. When in the bake mode, it would say that it heated to the temperature that we set it on but when opening the oven, it was only warm. Not sure if there is a problem with the heating element or not. This was reported to the host the first week (we were there for two weeks) we were there and she reported to the owner. Unfortunately, nothing was done to resolve this issue. The only other minor issue was the hairdryer was missing. We reported this to host and she stated she would pick one up but we ended up buying one at a local store. The building is very nice and felt very secure. The Sherwin is centrally located in Daytona Beach Shores. DBS is beautiful and there is so many places to go eat and sit outside. The area is very clean and safe. There were some minor outside issues. There was a lot of heavy equipment being used in the front of the building as well as beside the building which was a little annoying with the noise. The entrance to the beach was locked for 3 days in a row which blocked our access to the beach. This was 20% of our days of vacation. Also, we felt that the host could have been more transparent with the damage that had occurred to the Sherwin when we emailed her in February. There was no sea wall and when the access to the beach was open, we could get to beach. We were told we could have used public access which was 3 blocks away. However, we did not rent a beach front unit to walk with chairs, coolers, umbrella, etc. 3 blocks away. Lastly, the pool was not operational. We asked the host about this prior to coming and she said everything should be working. Upon our arrival we asked about pool again and she said that it was to be open but it got delayed. Overall, we would rent this unit again without any hesitation.
