Heron Walk @ Sandestin * Golf Cart Included

We’ve stayed at several of these units on Heronwalk over the years and this one was a little rough. Smelled of mildew upon walking in. Our bedsheets also smelled like they sat in the washing machine too long. Needs a little updating. Location is great, and we loved the golf cart.

It was beautiful and very clean! Location was great close to everything you would want to do in the area. Owner is very responsive. 10/10 would stay again

Awesome stay. Great location Amenities, access to excursions and golf cart truly made the stay special I plan to book this property again if it is still available

We visit every year and this was one of the best condos we stayed in. Great location, very clean, and overall met all our needs. I hope to visit again soon.

We had a great long weekend celebrating Mother’s Day!

BEWARE!!! The unit has cockroaches. When we first arrived it was in the evening. The location looked great, it seemed clean and check in was good. We were exhausted so we went straight to bed. I’ve stayed in dozens of places all over and this was the first one this has ever happened at. There’s a difference between a tropical bug or two but when you flip on the kitchen light to make coffee and they scatter, it’s a major issue. I tapped a picture and they came out from the picture. Moved a coffee pot and they came out. I was in shock! It was disgusting and we couldn’t get out fast enough. I feel they had to of known. Whoever cleaned it prior to us coming had to of seen them. Or the people before? Just GROSS! The property management did relocate us to a unit near the beach however it completely ruined the trip. We got the unit we did specifically for my husband to golf and so we could use the golf cart to get around but that didn’t happen obviously. They charged us for the relocation. They did spray as we were leaving but not professionally.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property and location of it is too nice for it to be managed how it was during our stay. I make shakes for breakfast every morning so I emailed asking if the property had a blender of any kind. I was told It should have one. It did not have one so I let management know. They said they would bring one by the next day. The next day came and they ever brought it by. They replied to another concern with the fact that they meant to bring it by. Thats very nice but does nothing for that fact that I need a blender.Wifi kept kicking us out from day one. Someone came by several hours later and after trying to fix our network without luck told us to just sign in to another units wifi. This worked so we were okay with that. Last thing is I got an amazon package delivered there on our 3rd day (the day before leaving). When I emailed about getting access to the mailbox I was told that they didn't know how to get access to it and that they didn't have the key. I replied asking how I could figure it out and got no reply so I handled it with amazon the next day. The next day several hours after we checked out and were gone I got a call saying they randomly found the key. So overall great plcace, great location, mostly timely response but not very helpful at all with the responses. It wasn't terrible but I visit destin often and usually the management or owner is very on top of everything. Maybe it was an off week for them...who knows but that it no excuse for being careless with my concerns. Will likely not be a returning customer.

The apartment is just as pictured in the listing. Pros: great location - central to everything, good golf cart, quiet surroundings, spacious apartment, nice furniture, great amenities for Sandestin. Cons: musty smell, terrible water pressure in master shower, very slow drain in guest shower that leaves you in ankle deep water while showering
