Heart of Dtwn Gatlinburg - Walkable Retreat!

The layout and location of the unit were as advertised and excellent for our planned stay. There are two fundamental issues. First the room was not clean. The pillow/sheets had hair on them and the sheets were dirty. There was also hair in the bathtub. We normally leave our shoes at the door to keep the floors clean. We can't do that as our feet/socks become filthy. We swept the floor and there was little loose dirt. The problem is the floors are scummy and not clean. In addition to the room being dirty there is nothing we can do about it. The only cleaning supplies in the room are dish soap and a small roll of paper towels. As a minimum we would expect hand soap, all purpose cleanser, dishwasher pods, a sponge, dish towels. There is also no bath mat or hand towels in the bathroom.The trash can in the kitchen area does not have a lid. As there is no garbage disposal all food waste has to go in the trash can. This leads to odors and pests. There are minimal cooking and serving dishes. No measuring spoons or cups, no tea kettle. The bottom of the saucepan we use was not flat and therefore very inefficient and slow on an electric stove. No mixing or salad bowls. One boning knife and no cutting boards. It is difficult to do basic meal preparation. We aren't trying to do anything fancy, just breakfast and lunch.

The unit was not cleaned prior to arrival, including dirty sheets, dirty stained, comforter, dirty bathroom floor, and also after a long hike in the Smoky Mountains one would want to relax in a hot tub, but it was broken.

Very nice room. Easy walk to downtime Gatlinburg which was what we wanted, so we didnt have to drive and park.

The condo was clean. I love the color inside, it is beautiful and looks fresh. I will say It exceeded my expectations. We had so much fun staying there. The location is perfect no need to get your car and drive to the strip. All you have to do is wake up in the morning walk to the donut shop buy one donut with a coffee, then start your whole day of fun. My kids enjoyed their stay with no complaints so I will give it a five star. My kids were happy and so Am I. Thank you for the lovely stay.
