Hale Kona Kai 401 - Absolute oceanfront condo with wrap around lanai

We loved staying in this beautiful condo on the edge of the sweet town of Kona. Walking distance to the heart of town, yet a very peaceful --the sound of the waves crashing below drowned out any sounds of resorts and water play. The extra perk was that the managing company supplied items like laundry soap, dishwasher soap, etc. so that we didn't need to buy a lot of things that we wouldn't use up during our stay. Delightful stay.

I love being right above the water, literally on the ocean above a break wall. Colorful reef fish are visible when the waves are calm. The condo units all face west for beautiful sunsets. I also like how close it is to central Kona, easy to walk to many restaurants. Communication and service was excellent, too.

Terrific location and one bedroom condo. You can sit on the balcony and watch the sea all day and night. Surfers everyday about 200 yds to the south. Occasionally spinner dolphins in the morning. Great sunsets. Nicely furnished and a well equipped kitchen. A short walk to town and restaurants. The on site host, Kona Beach Properties, was terrific. Friendly, convenient and very responsive.

This place is absolutely amazing!! The unit was just as described, there is something new to the view every day and night, it had everything and i mean everything that someone would need ie. Shampoo. Spices, towels, beach equipment, laundry detergent and a laundry area on each floor. Very well maintained place. Lots of food, stores , a luau less than a 3 minute walk. This place and area for piece quiet , and beauty took 1st place in my book.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there in Kona. Our unit had a fabulous view of the ocean onto two sides. We loved throwing open the doors and listening to the sound of the water day and night. The kitchen had all the amenities you could need. There was adequate space for both of us.

Property was as represented. Good laundry facilities on floor. Bathroom is microscopically small which you can’t really tell from the listing. It was functional but fairly annoying for a long stay. AC works but is erratic. It would go from warm to cold without us ever adjusting the temps ourselves. The lanai is worth it all though. The views could not be beat!

I really enjoyed my stay and appreciate the little things included like bandaids when needed after scraping my knee.

We really enjoyed our stay and the location of the condo could not have been better. We like to walk and did not even need a rental car. Uber was right there when we needed them and didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes at the most. Kona Reef Properties did their absolute best to help when we needed something, they were very responsive. Our air conditioning did go out for a couple of days, and they installed a small unit in our bedroom which did help. You'll see lots of fish right in the surf from the deck. The waves were huge while we were there, so very noisy, but totally exciting. The condo had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable.

We thought this place was great. Location, covered parking, bed, and the kitchen were all above other condo's that we have rented. If we can afford this in the future, we will be back!

Located close to everything with plenty to do. And when we were still, we enjoyed every second of just relaxing on the lanai and watching the waves hit the tide pools. Everything we could have needed was provided and we had the MOST comfortable bed ever. The host was very friendly and communicative.
