HAMILTON COVE COMMUNITY
Hamilton Cove is a gated community with its own Security Staff with at least one guard on duty at all times. Transportation within Hamilton Cove and from Hamilton Cove to Avalon is accomplished by golf cart.
Hamilton Cove community amenities, include swimming pool, spa and a gym with separate men and women locker rooms, each with its own sauna,
For additional entertainment and exercise there is a croquet course, an eighteen hole putting course and two lighted tennis courts.
Hamilton Cove has three distinct beach areas stretching approximately 1500 feet. The beach areas are set up for BBQ, volleyball and other appropriate beach activities. In addition, the area immediately offshore is a kelp garden teeming with fish. This area can be enjoyed either by snorkeling or scuba diving. Many a lobster is caught just off shore during lobster season.
All Hamilton Cove amenities are open at the discretion of Hamilton Cove Homeowners Association for the health and safety of the community. All CIVR guests must comply with all applicable State of California, County of Los Angeles and City of Avalon laws, orders and protocols including the State of California COVID-19 Industry Guidance: Hotels, Lodging and Short Term Rentals.
In addition to Hamilton Cove amenities, you will be delighted with the property’s close proximity to Descanso Beach Club, and Avalon’s finest shops, dining and nightlife, and not to mention numerous attractions the island has to offer.

The price of the property does not reflect the quality of the property. Problems with water heaters, all toilets on all floors not screwed down properly, shower handles loose, railings loose, showers not draining, several accessories broken, and the golf cart needs maintenance. —Ultimately, the house is rented without being completely finished.
The house is beautiful, the accommodations are luxurious, the view is spectacular, the amenities are abundant, but there are a few aspects of the house that affected the quality of our stay. According to property management company they will be addressed soon. The gas fireplaces are unusable because there is no gas to the home. The six person golf cart was a four person cart (we were reprimanded by security for having five people in the cart). Management comped us with taxi rides but they aren’t as convenient as a golf cart. The biggest downsides were the minimal internet accessibility and the lack of hot water in showers – it was lukewarm. This home worked well for the eleven of us and we would highly recommend once these issues are solved.
