Stayed Sep 29, 2025We were very pleased with room. Comfortable beds and living furniture. Our only issues were the towel rack in the front bathroom, came apart. My husband was able to put it back together, and the next day, we found the little screw and was able to use my knife to fix it. The Roku batteries in the control were dead. However, I had a flash light that used the same batteries and was able to watch TV. When we left, we replaced the dead batteries in the control. Our main concern were the floors. Both bathroom floors were sticky, to the point of sticking to our bare feet or shoes. The tile floors thru out the condo had debris and we swept several times. They had not been vacummed, or moped. If the condos are not inspected before being rented it, they need to be. We have stayed at the Summer House many times and this is the first time this has ever happened. Being the first time renting from Vrbo, we actually didnt know who to contact about this. All and all we enjoyed staying there, but this needs to be addressed for future renters. Thank you,

Stayed Jul 8, 2023Although our room wasn’t clean when we arrived the management team promptly brought over clean linens. They also brought over a gift card and a bottle of bubbly for the troubles. The guest shower is very nice. The pull out sofa wasn’t at all a terrible nights sleep as imagined for a 165 pound 40 year old.

Stayed Jan 1, 2023The good was that all staff and guests at Summerhouse were very friendly and helpful! The location was good for us, the view was amazing and the outside grounds were well kept. The not so good…this building is old. Hot tub not always working, elevators frequently down, sliding doors in the lobby not working. For the condo, the photos online must’ve been taken long ago as the white cabinets were now yellow. The HVAC was down the first 4 days and it smelled like stale dust and mildew that never went away, even with air blowing and fans running. The ductwork needs to be cleaned thoroughly. We requested to be moved shortly after we arrived. Real Joy told us “unless the place is inhabitable…” they would not move us, we had booked for 2 months. They attempted to resolve with several visits to figure out the smell, fix hvac, clean the area rug (ick) but no other remedy, move or refund. Remember the saying, you get what you pay for. Before you book, look for pics of the elevators, hallways, your condo front door. Also, there is No access to the balcony from the master as described and the sliding balcony door and drapery need to be replaced.

Stayed May 30, 2022The condo itself is nice and in a good location, however, the AC unit was not turning on. We contacted Real Joy about the issues around 1pm that day and did not hear back til 7pm that night when we were ready to go out to eat. Unfortunately we had to cancel our dinner out and order pizza while maintenance finished with the repair. He mentioned that the AC unit was on its last leg and would take a long time to cool...and it did. Other than that some of the pots in the kitchen were burnt on the bottom and I didn't want to use them to cook with. It kinda grossed us out.

Stayed May 21, 2022Had to climb 6 flights of stairs for 3 days due to elevator issue in main building. They should have told us that the elevator would be down upon checking in and offered to transfer to another building.
