Visits to Hawaii have always been expensive, but each year prices seem to go higher. However, I think if you compare my condo with other options, you will realize it is a good deal. I try to keep the nightly rate about $100 less than what the hotel charges. I want guests to know they are getting a good deal so that they take good care of the condo. I recommend the condo for two guests; there is an extra fee if there are three guests to cover the extra costs.

My Waikikivacation condo has always been legally registered with the state of Hawaii so no worries about the illegal rentals you may have heard about in Hawaii.

This corner unit in the Pacific Monarch Hotel is on the 20th floor. The views are great and the location of the hotel is in the heart of Waikiki. From the entrance of the hotel it is 500 feet to the sand of Waikiki Beach. I originally got the condo for my parents when they were alive; they very much enjoyed their yearly visits. I myself enjoy the memories and sometimes stay at the condo. Other times, I rent the condo out for others to visit; some guests have been visiting each year for many years. I hope you enjoy your stay if you choose my Waikiki Vacation Condo, but please respect it as a home-away-from-home.

There are many restaurants in the area and the hotel is close to nightlife spots and shopping. The hotel has a recreation room on the top floor with beautiful views of the Ko'olau mountains. The roof-top pool and hot tub also have great views. The common areas of the hotel are neat and clean. You have access to all the amenities of the hotel but you don’t have to pay the hotel’s activity fee. You won’t be able to get beach towels at the front desk but I do have beach towels in the condo. There is free Wi-Fi in the room. A few other minor amenities of the hotel are only for those who pay the amenity fee such as daily newspaper, free shuttle to Ala Moana, beach chairs (there are often some in my condo left by guests), in-room coffee, and free admission to two museums. I bet you can buy those amenities if you wish on your own for a lot less than $25 plus tax per day.

There’s a parking garage attached to the hotel but it’s run by a private company. Anyone (hotel guest or private guest) who parks there needs to pay the $33 per 24 hour time period. There’s a machine that accepts credit cards in the garage

There’s a small but functional kitchen with everything you need to save a little money by eating some of your meals in the condo, all linens and towels are provided. Of course, since it’s offered at such a low price there’s no maid service provided.

The Pacific Monarch is a three-star hotel and NOT right on the beach. There are more luxurious places to stay but A LOT more expensive. I keep the condo very clean but it has more of a home-like feel. I added blackout curtains in the living room in 2025 (already present in bedroom), a new sofa in the living room in November 2023, new laminate floor in 2020, and new lanai furniture in 2021. All considered, I think that you will enjoy your stay which is my sincere hope.

    Steve's condo is all the ideal place for a couple requiring a great location. It is easy walking distance to the beach, to numerous food outlets, and public transport.Steve is extremely approachable and he will answer any of your questions promptly and accurately.The condo is well appointed and has a homely feeling.I'd recommend this to everyone. It's been a pleasure staying here.

    This is my third stay at Steve’s condominium, and - as usual - it was spotless, well appointed, and this year had new drapes and upholstered chairs. It is a block to the beach ( but also has a roof top pool ), is walking distance to numerous eateries, and is across the street from a main bus run ( you don’t really need a car ). Steve is readily accessible and answers all queries promptly.One caveat ( which is obviously not under Steve’s control ) : the building’s elevator system is being renovated over the next 10 months, with only two elevators serving a 31 story complex. So you can sometimes ( eg 8:00-noon ) expect some VERY long waits. That said, everyone seems to be pretty good natured about it. Just remember you are on Pasifika time !

    Location is perfect, view is amazing, check in process easy, communication with owner wonderful. Condo fit our needs perfectly. Air conditioning might not fit some peoples expectations but I found it comfortable and the fan in the bedroom helped during the night. Be sure and check out the storage bench on the lanai before purchasing anything as people, including us, left things for others to enjoy. Same goes for cupboards in the kitchen. Many shopping bags left too if you go to the grocery store like we did. Definitely plan on returning.

    We had a stream less check in, keyless entry to floors, security, property owner, Steve, was fantastic, very prompt answering questions. Close to beach, restaurants and shops. I’d definitely recommend this unit. Only downside was ac but that’s not the fault of owner, he is in the process of getting new, it worked just not able to keep up with Hawaii heat. We loved our stay!

    This was our 5th trip to Hawaii and Steve’s place was the perfect place to celebrate our 25th Anniversary! The place was very well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen! It was very clean & you cannot beat the view of the beach! We enjoyed our coffee and breakfast on the balcony watching the sunrise and the surfers every morning. Other guests had left beach chairs, umbrellas, beach mats etc…This came in very handy! It was close to some of our favorite restaurants & we found a few new ones close by. Steve was very responsive when I sent a message and answered all our questions. He was a fantastic host! The only drawback is the AC unit is not big enough & has a hard time keeping the place cool, especially in the bedroom. He did have 2 fans in the unit, so that helped tremendously. He is trying to get a second AC unit approved for the bedroom, so hopefully he’ll be able to get that installed. So if you want a fantastic view of the beach, with a kitchen and a very responsive host, this is the place! We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip!

    We stayed for 10 days in Steve’s 1bedroom condo on the 20th floor. The views out the wall to wall windows are stunning whether it’s sunrise or sunset. Kitchen has all you need. Grocery store just down the block. Roof pool great way to either start or end the day. Fireworks visible from the pool deck. Bbq there too.

    We stayed a total of 7 nights at this location for our vacation. The places is in the perfect spot to visit all of Waikiki by foot and easy access to the beach. It had everything you needed for longer stays and you were in walking distance for plenty of shops and food. The pictures do you do this place justice and it deserves the high rating it has. Steven also had great communication and check in on us during our stay. 10/10 would recommend and stay again

    The condo was clean and well equipped with everything you needed to make you feel right at home. The bed was comfortable. The location is perfect. Within walking distance to everything. The owner, Steve, responds to you promptly if you have any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this condo!
