* Palmetto Dunes is a gated community in which every vehicle must have a gate pass for entry. One gate pass is included with your reservation at the time of booking. If you require additional passes, please request the exact number needed to ensure they are prepared in advance. Each pass has a fee of $45. All gate passes must be picked up at the host2coast office prior to entry.

Getting Around:

Biking is very popular on Hilton Head Island, known for the many award-winning trails. There are recommendations for bike rental companies within your Guest App. You can reserve in advance and they will deliver to you or bring your own! Almost everything you will need is within walking distance, so bring your walking shoes! There are free trolley stops at various locations throughout the island.



Palmetto Dunes Buggy Service

Free shuttle service. The Palmetto Dunes Buggy service provides complimentary transportation within the Palmetto Dunes Resort and Shelter Cove Harbor. Don't worry about renting a car or spending money on getting to and from all the amenities and things to do at Palmetto Dunes.



The shuttle service will take you to the beach, golf courses, restaurants, shops, and tennis courts at Palmetto Dunes. It will also bring you to Shelter Cove Harbour, Towne Center, and the Plaza. This area is bustling and offers plenty of activities and things to do just off-site.



The Palmetto Dunes Buggy service is available seasonally from April to September. Each van is dispatched on a first-come, first serve basis by request. Typically vans arrive within 10 minutes of a call.

    Great condo in a great location. Nearly all aspects of the condo were excellent, including well-appointed kitchen, large TV, and comfortable sofa. But, beds were very hard. Firmness of mattresses is a personal choice but in this case ALL beds were very hard and uncomfortable. No internet for two days with unresponsive assistance.

    Beautiful property .Well equipped. Only warm water in 1st floor shower, no hot water. Did not use it, instead shared second floor shower. This needs to be fixed. Sign in condo from owner said there were bikes and beach gear in outside locked storage. No info on lock combination was provided by Vacasa. Communications with Vacasa never produced the bikes or equipment. Very disappointing.

    We had a time with the spiders ? in this unit. I think we booked our vacation during the time they were hatching as well. We killed a bunch every day everywhere. I think the whole air vents and laundry are need to be cleaned of these pest bc that's where they were coming from. The perimeter eeds to be sprayed weely until pest are gone. Other than that the place was great. Nice and quiet. Beds were comfortable.

    Love this area. The unit is excellent in size and location. It has lots of light & backs up to a lovely golf course. The bedding is good & everything was very clean. We enjoyed our stay but would not invite guests again unless some desperately needed updates were made. 1- The living room sofa is dingy/dirty and badly worn so we wouldn't sit on it much. The other furniture is good. 2- The bathroom doors are peeling, in need of touch-up painting. 3- The dishwasher needs cleaning. It smells and has evidence of rust. 4- The sleeping pillows are worn.

    This is the 2nd year we have stayed in this village. Both places were great. This one had a larger deck which was great! Right on the course. Easy check in and even easier check out. Close to everything. Totally the best kept secret in Hilton Head. Package it with the $280 7 day unlimited golf pass from the Heritage Club and you won’t be disappointed.

    This condo probably has the best view we've seen in Palmetto Dunes, and the rest was pretty average. The beds were very firm, which took some getting used to, and some updating is scheduled to be done on the kitchen floors. But we enjoyed the location and the chairs provided. Would like to see more of a recycling effort in Palmetto Dunes. Instructions said to bag your recycling, but dedicated bins would be much better.

    This condo is in a nice spot in Palmetto Dunes. A minute walk from the pool and on one of the George Fazio golf tees. Very open floorplan and nice to have the master on the main. Everything worked great and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and nice pots/pans (which is not normally the case in rentals). The decor was a bit dated, but I don't care much about that. They had pool noodles, floaties, 3 bikes, and tons of other beach stuff in the storage shed which was awesome. Had an issue with the dryer (user error not machine issues) and the Vacasa team worked hard to have it completed in hours which was awesome. Appreciate your communication and willingness to jump on that! While the technician was there looking at the dryer, I told them I saw a wasp nest and he went out to his truck and came back to spray down the porch. Seemed to care about helping make our stay awesome so thank you!

    the phots of this unit are very misleading. the unit is in need of repairs and updating. The sectional in the living area was worn, dirty and smelled. So, we couldn't even spend time in the living room because of the limited seating. The floor near the kitchen is in disrepair as well. Also, the unit wasn't very clean. Very disappointing.

    This condo is in a great location, had adequate sleeping space and is quite lovely right on the golf course. We enjoyed the patio deck most sunny mornings. I gave it 4/5 stars purely because it needs some updates - the walls and some floors need repair/paint. The other issue was had was way too many spiders inside. The home needs to be treated for bugs - I trust that's done regularly as we didn't see other bugs typically found in the south, but perhaps more frequent spraying is needed.
