Excellent condo and location! Very clean. The only problem was an electrical issue related to the water heater, but My Vacation Haven was very responsive.

It was a very peaceful stay. It was pretty clean except for the syrup on the table when we arrived. The bed was comfortable. We truly enjoyed sitting on the screened patio and even with trees the view was nice to us.i love a place with washer and dryer and this one did not disappoint, it was very up to date machines. It was very nice that it came with everything we needed such as little boxes in every bathroom that had soap, lotion, etc.. I especially liked that the kitchen had a box with a sponge and dish detergent in it. My family and I loved the gold cart and the chairs for the beach. The community pool was nice/clean and not too busy. Now to the little things that were not quite as described. The listing states to enjoy discounts at restaurants, beach activities, and shopping but when we’re arrived there were six cards on lanyards hanging on a hook but we didn’t know what to do with them because there wasn’t a book describing the activities or local places to visit that we could use them at. When we sent an email and asked who they were partnered with and where we could use the discounts, we were told there are many and to ask around in the text response. The text is the way you communicate once you’ve booked. Another thing that was a bit frustrating was that the email said to send a pic of yourself at the house then you’ll get he code we expressed our dissatisfaction with that as we’d be traveling from quite a distance but was told that’s policy all to have the info sent to us anyways about 3 hours before arriving just a bit of unnecessary stress. There was a dog/cat water and food bowl in the pantry yet the listing said no pets allowed so that was a bit questionable. It was difficult to navigate the tv and there were no instructions , we eventually figured them out and got used to them. Overall we would definitely return.

Golf cart is a must in Sandestin and was fun to get around the resort and to the beach which is a 5-10 min ride. There is a tunnel to get you to beachside without crossing HWY 98. Publix and other shopping plus restaurants are accessible via golf cart. Baytown Wharf has more shopping and restaurants plus activities for kids. Beach is beautiful but much too crowded. Henderson Beach State Park is worth a visit for a less crowded beach day. Nice family spot for vacation with all the activities of Destin a short 10 miles away if you can endure the traffic. You don't need to leave the resort if you don't want to.
